Games like Lethal Company require teamwork for players to survive the moon, and to meet the quota the company has set for them. Players might employ strategies to succeed, especially later in the game as the quotas start climbing higher and higher. One of the most popular strategies is to have one player remain on the ship to monitor the map, opening sealed doors and warning players of approaching monsters via a walkie-talkie.

There is one mod that makes the job of the man in the chair even easier, and that one adds a POV from the other players’ helmet cameras. This way, they can see through their eyes to better strategize, and even makes it far easier to tell if the player they are spectating is dead or not, as the game doesn’t always make that apparent.

One of the enemies players can find on the more advanced moons is the nutcracker, an enemy that looks exactly like the traditional Christmas toy, only far taller than even the players and extremely dangerous. The nutcracker quickly moves around the map armed with a shotgun that seemingly has unlimited ammo, as he can shoot at the scurrying players as much as he wants to.

While players can potentially down the nutcracker and steal his gun, such a gambit is risky and sad to say, it doesn’t have unlimited ammo. The firearmlicense makes it so that players can reload their shotgun if they steal one, or even buy one outright, so players don’t need to place themselves in serious danger to acquire one.

Longer Days

Players Have Longer To Explore Before The Ship Departs

As if failing the company and the monsters on each moon aren’t enough threats, players also need to make sure they make it back to the ship before the exterior conditions grow too dangerous, and before the ship’s autopilot kicks in at midnight and takes off with or without the players.

Sometimes there just isn’t enough time for players to have found and brought back enough loot, and many players probably wish the days were longer. But now with the Longer Days mod, players can give themselves precious extra game time to do just that. It’s set to a default setting, but players are free to adjust it to give themselves more or less time as needed.

As if the sprawling and randomly generated levels of the game were not terrifying enough, x753 goes ahead and adds a new monster that can disguise itself as the emergency exit doors found in the levels. With monsters at every corner, will players dare to trigger the door and discover salvation from escape, or will they be stolen into the jaw of a monster to be devoured?

Mimics is terrifying, and it’s always hard to tell which door is real and which one is fake. Players can actually hit the door with a shovel or stop sign to hear a growl, yet doing so repeatedly will see them snatched and eaten, so it’s best to try and play the guessing game or use teammates as bait.

A Dedicated Slot for Walkie-Talkies That Doesn’t Use Inventory Space

Playing with a team is part of the fun in Lethal Company, and it’s wise that players do not embark alone due to the dangers that await. With a team, there must come communication, and a Walkie Talkie will ensure safety with the team as they can check in and aid each other if needed. Yet, the Walkie-Talkie takes up inventory space that could be left for picking up scrap.

This simple mod merely changes the in-game sound effects of the Hoarder into a high-pitched voice yelling Yippee! Watching the bug skitter unpredictably across the map is both comedic and rather adorable, making the bug more endearing to players.
