League of Legends introduced some major changes coming into Season 1 for 2025. It was confirmed that each season would get its own theme, meaning the map would be changing based on the part of Runeterra they were in. Currently, players are enjoying their time playing through the Noxus-themed portion of Runeterra, from the very frustrating Atakhan, to the animated turrets, to the red mis across Summoners Rift, Riot did not disappoint when it came to the changes they introduced in 15.S1.1. But when is the new LoL map release date?
Luckily, we should have a pretty good idea of when the new map will be coming to League of Legends.

New LoL Map Release Date
According to Riot, each season this year in League of Legends will be getting its own theme, which means new maps, potentially new monsters, and much more. If we go by the LoL patch schedule, we should start to get a better understanding of when the new map will be coming to League of Legends.
According to the schedule, Patch 15.S2.1 is scheduled for release on April 30. Each season in League of Legends will span across eight patches, which falls perfectly in line with the new LoL map release date, as Riot will be changing the thematic for the map to match the thematics for the new season.
There’s no any recent LoL news in which Riot confirmes which part of Runeterra Summoners Rift will be heading to next, though fans should expect many teases across their various social platforms, along with potential teases in-game itself. Ahead of Season 1, Riot released a cinematic to kickstart the new League of Legends season, the cinematic heavily focused on Noxus, which is the theme for the first season in League of Legends 2025.
We saw the newest LoL champion Mel heavily featured, along with other famous Noxus champions. Most of the champions featured in the cinematic were part of the Noxus-themed skin line that features in the current LoL battle pass, which will be the case for every LoL season.
