You don’t have long to wait for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti to launch. Nvidia has now officially announced the release date for its new mid-range graphics card, confirming that the GPU is set to go on sale in just under a week’s time.
This brand new Nvidia graphics card will be the third RTX 50-series gaming GPU to be released, and the company will be hoping it immediately becomes the best graphics card for the average gamer. With both RTX 5090 stock and RTX 5080 stock seeing immediate shortages, however, it’s likely that we’ll see similar availability issues with the RTX 5070 Ti launch, no matter what date the GPU maker is planning to release it.
Nvidia made the announcement via its social media channels, including a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the post, Nvidia confirmed that RTX 5070 Ti availability will begin on February 20 at 6am PST / 9am EST.
Unlike the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, Nvidia hasn’t created a Founders Edition for this GPU, so only third-party RTX 5070 Ti cards will be available from the Nvidia store and retailers, when it goes on sale.
Unfortunately, with demand expected to be very high, we expect this to be as much of a paper launch as the two top-tier RTX 50-series cards that have preceded it, with the card almost impossible to buy for months. Nvidia also faces a fierce battle with AMD, thanks to the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, which is also expected to launch in early March with specs that rival the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti.
We’ll be putting this card through its paces as soon as it launches, but if you want one for yourself, keep an eye on our where to buy 5070 Ti guide, which we’ll be updating daily with the latest stock updates from major retailers.
