Owned by Valve and originally released in 2003, Steam is currently the largest PC gaming platform in the world, with over 132 million monthly active users. Steam often has big sales, in which gamers can find popular titles with major discounts. Sometimes, these sales are focused on a single genre, such as couch co-op multiplayer games, and can be a pretty good opportunity for fans to acquire new titles in these genres.

One of the highlights of the current sale is Behemoth’s classic Castle Crashers, a 2012 couch co-op multiplayer game that costs only $1.49 with a 90% discount. Gamers may also be interested in the multiplayer roguelikes Astral Ascent and Crawl, which cost $14.99 (40% discount), and $2.99 (80% discount), respectively. Another good pick is Overcooked! 2, which is being sold for only $6.24 after a 75% discount. RPG fans, however, may want to snag Divinity: Original Sin 2, which can be played in co-op with a friend, and is currently only $13.49 with a hefty 70% discount. Aside from these games, fans can also choose from many other couch co-op Steam games, such as Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which currently costs $23.99.

Starting later this month, the Steam Next Fest will feature tons of developer livestreams and exclusive content highlighting what gamers can expect throughout 2025 and beyond.

Stellar Mess is a point-and-click adventure game inspired by the classics of the genre released in the 1990s and is set to receive a sequel soon.
