Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 6 was absolutely phenomenal. The hype surrounding it was so immense that Crunchyroll’s servers had trouble dealing with the traffic. These problems were limited to just Crunchyroll. Even some of the biggest piracy websites struggled with the influx of traffic. The overwhelming number caused the servers to crash, which ultimately forced fans to wait until the issue was fixed.

Viewers who haven’t caught up with the anime might wonder if the hype was really worth it. The short answer is, yes. Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 6 proved why the series is an early contender for the anime of the year. In the episode, Sung Jinwoo had to face Kargalgan, the leader of the High Orcs. As the leader of the group, Son Kihoon considered the safety of the squad his personal responsibility. Kargalgan was overjoyed after seeing Son Kihoon’s determination, as he believed it would be fun to break his spirit. Without wasting too much time, Son Kihoon charged at the leader of the High Orcs, but Kargalgan instantly humbled him. The latter used several spells to pummel the Hunter into the ground. Just when it was looking like Son Kihoon’s end was near, Song Jinwoo intervened and stopped Kargalgan from killing him.

The leader of the High Orcs was amused after seeing the hero in action. Sung Jinwoo knew Kargalgan had the advantage, so he summoned the Shadows to kill the High Orcs. The trio of Igris, Iron, and Tank were able to deal with the enemies, but they couldn’t finish the job, so Sung Jinwoo had to help them out. Kargalgan tried his best to stop Sung Jinwoo from running riot, but the latter’s strength proved superior.

Even after increasing his own size, the dungeon boss could not hurt Sung Jinwoo. Following an intense battle, the hero was able to terminate Kargalgan and bring an end to his chaos. Once the boss was beaten, Sung Jinwoo decided to use necromancy to turn him into one of the Shadows. He had previously failed to turn Barca into a Shadow, so chances were that something similar would happen again. However, this time Sung Jinwoo successfully turned Kargalgan into one of his soldiers, and he named him Fang.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 7 will be released on February 15, 2025. The episode is titled “The 10th S-Rank Hunter.” From the title, it’s quite clear that the episode will focus on Sung Jinwoo as he is officially named the 10th S-rank Hunter to emerge from Korea. According to the official description, Sung Jinwoo’s insane feat of beating an A-rank dungeon by himself propelled the Hunter organization to conduct a reexamination and name him the 10th S-rank Hunter.

Naturally, people around him were intrigued by Sung Jinwoo and wanted to learn more about him. However, the hero had no intention of entertaining any of the interested parties. Instead, he decided to go to the Devil’s Dungeon to find the remaining ingredient to create the Elixir of Life.

In Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 7, Sung Jinwoo reaches the 80th floor. In order to finish things quickly, Sung Jinwoo sends his Shadows to deal with threats. However, he soon learns that his Shadow soldiers have been beaten by someone. Judging by the preview images released, it is safe to say that Sung Jinwoo will have to fight a new kind of enemy. There is a possibility that it might turn out to be a challenging fight because, so far, the hero’s Shadows have handled most mobs without too many problems.
