Riccioli Islands is a hidden paradise amidst Rinascita’s turbulent waters in Wuthering Waves. The archipelago is teeming with life and natural beauty, which will make for an exhilarating exploration for Rovers; even more so when they can travel using a new mode of transportation called Rachel the Fishing boat, accessed from the ‘Old Man and the Whale’ event.
During the adventure, players will undoubtedly discover unique Echoes in the view, hidden treasure chests to collect, and Overflowing Palette puzzles to solve. There are a total of five Overflowing Palette puzzles that can be found on the Riccioli islands. Each of them will reward players with Astrites and other in-game resources for their hard work in completing the riddle and returning the area to normalcy.

Riccioli Islands Overflowing Palette Location 1
The first Overflowing Palette that can be seen at Riccioli Islands in Wuthering Waves is on Drake’s Island. Teleport to the Resonance Beacon on this island and use the Flight utility to head to the highest mountain on Drake’s Island, found on the northern side. The painting is at the edge of the cliff, in front of a tree.
To solve this Overflowing Palette puzzle, players must change the color of the blocks to the designated color shown at the bottom left using the color on the right side. Different Overflowing Palettes have different movement limits, as can be seen at the top left.
Follow the instructions below to complete the puzzle and get the rewards for solving it:
- Choose the color yellow from the right side, and change the blue blocks at the bottom to yellow.
- Next, choose the blue color and switch all the yellow on the palette to blue blocks.
- Now, select the green color and change all the blue blocks to green.
- Finally, pick the red color and tap it on the green blocks to make the entire palette red.
Riccioli Islands Overflowing Palette Location 2
The second Overflowing Palette is on another island called Port of Riccioli. The waypoint on this island can be unlocked by completing the ‘Set Sail! Pro Angler!’ quest from the Old Man and the Whale event. If players don’t start this mission, the map will remain dark even if the Resonance Beacon on the archipelago is unlocked. Teleport to the waypoint in Port of Riccioli and head west towards the shore to find the painting.
The correct sequence for getting this puzzle solved is the following:
- Pick the yellow from the color on the right side and change all the blue blocks to yellow.
- Then, choose the red color and switch all the yellow blocks to red.
- Lastly, take the green color and change the red blocks to green.
Riccioli Islands Overflowing Palette Location 3
Wuthering Waves‘ third Overflowing Palette on Riccioli Islands is found in Helm Village. There is no Resonance Beacon on this island, so players can use the one in the Port of Roccioli and head northeast via their flying utility. Another option is to use the new transportation mode unlocked in the Old Man and the Whale event called Rachel the Fishing Boat. The boat can be accessed from any dock in the Riccioli Islands.
The solution to this Overflowing Palette puzzle and returning the nearby area to normalcy is:
- Pick the green color from the right side and change the red blocks to green.
- Next, choose the yellow color and switch the green blocks to yellow.
- Finally, take the blue color and change the yellow blocks to blue.
Riccioli Islands Overflowing Palette Location 4
For players who have progressed far in the Old Man and the Whale event, they can teleport to Serene Bay Dock for this Overflowing Palette puzzle, as it also acts as a Resonance Beacon. If not, Rovers can warp to the Beacon in Port of Riccioli and use the fishing boat to reach Serene Bay, which is where the fourth Overflowing Palette is located. To be specific, the painting resides on the southern island of Serene Bay, at the top of the mountain.
Follow the instructions below to complete this Overflowing Palette puzzle and get the promised rewards:
- Pick the blue color from the right side and change the red blocks on the palette to blue.
- Choose the green color and switch the blue blocks to green.
- The last step is taking the yellow color and changing the green blocks to yellow.
Riccioli Islands Overflowing Palette Location 5
The last Overflowing Palette is located in Reyes Ruins on Riccioli Islands. Players need to know that this island is locked behind the Old Man and the Whale event and can only be unlocked after starting the Old Man and the Whale quest where Rovers and Phoebe head to the last island. Once Rovers reach Reyes Ruins, a dock will be activated and act as a Resonance Beacon. From there, head northeast towards the small hill for the last Overflowing Palette.
The solution to the final Overflowing Palette puzzle found on Riccioli Islands can be seen below:
- Choose the red color from the right side and swap all green blocks to red.
- Next, pick the blue color and change the red blocks to blue.
- Lastly, use the yellow color and change the remaining red blocks to yellow.
