Microsoft Has Been Bringing Some of its Biggest Games to Sony Consoles

Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, has been quite clear about Xbox’s future intentions when it comes to game releases. According to Phil Spencer, long gone are the days of competition. Moving forward, Microsoft plans to release many of its first-party titles on PlayStation consoles. This transition has already been underway, too. Last year, games like Sea of Thieves and Grounded came to the Sony console, but the announcement of even bigger franchises being ported has been awaited for some time now.

It was recently revealed that Forza Horizon 5 will be coming to the PS5 this spring, which is one of the biggest ports yet. Also, with games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Doom: The Dark Ages, and The Outer Worlds 2 confirmed for the PS5, major titles are finding homes on the PS5. However, Xbox’s biggest first-party series, Halo and Gears of War, have yet to be announced. These two franchises are synonymous with the Xbox brand, and many have eagerly been waiting for Microsoft to reveal PS5 launches.

Halo and Gears of War Coming to PS5 Now Feels Inevitable

Sony’s State of Play didn’t confirm or deny an eventual Halo and Gears of War port, which is slightly confusing. As the first big Sony event of the year, one would think the company would want to generate as much hype as possible, but the wait continues.
