One Last Drink Walkthrough In Avowed

One Last Drink is a side quest in Avowed that sends you far and wide across Shatterscarp. Though the three markers send you to precise locations, they’re not all easily accessible, and so you will need to keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you. You’ll also find that not everyone is as keen on the reunion as others.

Sanza’s four cartographers have gone missing in Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks.

Shatterscarp is the toughest region to get around in Avowed, because the winding valleys and steep cliffs often block paths without warning. However, a series of tunnels and caves, plus a willingness to take the long way round when needed, will help see you through.

How To Find Ruanga

Ruanga is the hardest character to find. As you will see on the map, she is at the Abandoned Mine, which does not have an obvious entrance. To head inside, you need to find a hole in the cave wall, which you will see to the left of the nearby camp. As it shows on the image above, it’s between 9 o’clock and 8 o’clock from where the map marker is. You’ll know you’ve found the right place when you see a cliff with wooden boards leaning against it.

Go to the right of these boards and you will see a small hole in the wall, leading to the mine. Once inside, you will need to fight off the beetles. At this point, it’s still not that obvious where Ruanga is, but you are close.

With your back to the entrance, Ruanga is in a hidden cavern above you to the left. You access it climb up the wooden platforms at the back of the arena, then turn around to see the breakable barrier in the cave. Go through it, and climb up the ledges. One is behind you as you jump. From here, exit onto the cliff edge the, turn into the opening, where Ruanga is waiting. When you speak to her, Ruanga will refuse to go. This happens whethere you recruit her first and have nothing to tell her, or last, where you can say you convinced the others to go. Regardless, it will count as completed for the quest.

How To Find Kowha

Talking to Ruanga in Avowed

Kowha is easier to find than Ruanga, but still features some combat. After heading to the Shark’s Teeth settlement in the north east of the map, you will find Kowha near the tower at the far north of the settlement. If you have completed the Face Your Fears main quest, this area should be open already. You should also speak to Moapo in Shark’s Teeth, as he will send you on the Don’t Look Down quest right next to Kowha.

Regardless of whether you do or don’t complete Don’t Look Down first, head past the tower into a small arena with a wooden fence and explosive barrels. Here, you will need to clear out the beetles, spirits, and spectres. When all this is done, head to the path at the back of the arena and climb the steps to find Kowha.

When you reach him, he will ask you to kill the Dreamscourged below. Drop down and kill them all – many of them charge, so keep your distance or block effectively. After they have been taken out, speak to Kowha and he will agree to go if you tell him Tauwe has.

How To Find Tauwe

Sapphire Eye next to Tauwe in Avowed

Tauwe is the easiest character to find in One Last Drink, though he’s also the furthest away. After heading to the South Sea Oasis in the south east of the map, you will find him out in the open across the small lake. There’s not much to this one, Tauwe’s pretty willing to go, so it just takes a short conversation.

You will be right next to the Bounty: Xaurip Chief Grithin quest, so may want to do them both in the same journey as Tauwe’s location has no combat.

However, don’t leave just yet. If you dive into the lake and swim just to the left of Tauwe (facing away from him), you will find a Sapphire Eye. This is needed for the Totem of Revelations quest. Once you’re done with all three, head to the tavern in Thirdborn to see exactly why the Captain wanted the crew back together…
