Once players have unlocked the recycling plant, a menu like this will come up where players need to select items that they would like to put inside. This is not only a good way to get rid of items that players don’t want, but also to help players get the dye.

When players recycle trash, they have the opportunity to get Coral Spores or Coral Keys. Coral Spores can be planted on the ocean floor, while Coral Keys can open up the different pink coral chests around the island. But something that is even better about the recycling plant is it will provide dye to players who put enough items into it. Something to know is that the more items players put into the recycling plant, the more likely they are to get dyes in return.

Upon recycling a bunch of items, players will receive different color dyes. The most common one seems to be brown, while pink is one of the rarer ones out of all the dyes available. After players collect quite a bit of dye, they can take it back to Tuxedosam’s shop, and they will be able to dye their clothing. This even includes their mermaid gear as well. They can dye all three different pieces of mermaid gear to make it customized for the player. This also goes for other clothing as well.

When players go into the dying system, they will be given some color choices to choose from based on what dyes they have in their inventory in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
