Where To Buy Lockpicks In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The most straightforward method for getting lockpicks is by purchasing them from a merchant. While these would usually be thought of as a tool meant to break the law, a surprising number of merchants throughout the game sell them freely. Just about most general traders, blacksmiths, and even stablehands sell them. No matter where you choose to buy them, be sure you’re getting the best price.
Some early-game merchants that sell Lockpicks are:
- Blacksmith Rodovan found in Tachov.
- Merchant Jurg in Troskowitz.
- Hired Hand Kabat in Trosky Castle.
Lockpicks are also common things sold by traders who can be passed while on the road between towns, though there is no way to find these merchants or trigger their encounters.
If you buy a merchant’s entire stock, come back in a few in-game days for their stock to refresh.

Where To Get Lockpicks In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
If you’d rather save your hard-earned money, you can instead find Lockpicks by knocking down bird’s nests and looting them. Nests are found in many trees throughout the world and will be marked on your map whenever they are discovered. They will usually be found on large trees found near roads as opposed to the tall ones found in forests.
Once you find a nest, you’ll need to knock it down either with an arrow, bolt, or throw a rock at it. Your best option by far is throwing a rock simply because it’s free and you can throw as many as it takes to knock the nest down. While it’s not a guarantee you’ll get a lockpick, nests have a good chance of giving all sorts of useful or expensive items such as jewelry. Once you knock a nest down, you’ll have to go to where it landed and loot it to possibly get your lockpick.
