- This DLC is yet to be properly announced.
Elden Ring Nightreign is getting DLC. This was just confirmed by the game’s description over on Steam, although this line has since been deleted.
This was spotted by PC Gamer before it could be removed, so it seems that FromSoftware is preparing to announce this DLC separately. The move suggests that Nightreign could be a bit more of a live service than it was previously let on, despite FromSoft not considering it such.

Expect new characters and bosses to be added after launch
As reported by PC Gamer, the now-amended Steam page used to read as follows: “Additional DLC—Additional playable characters and bosses.”
From this, we can gather that the player characters we’ve seen will not be the only ones added into the game, but just the ones we start out with. You’ll also be able to purchase additional challenges to take on after launch, so FromSoft will be sticking with Nightreign for some time.
We’ll have to see how far this is taken. If we are indeed getting smaller purchases that only add bosses and characters, then this is very new territory for FromSoft – and it’s very possible that fans will not be pleased.

The soulslike formula fits surprisingly well into a Roguelite.
There’s no telling how this will be implemented, however. It’s very possible that new content will come in the form of larger expansions, which fans will be used to from previous games. And then there’s the fact that the price tag for the full game going in will be £35/$40, which is much cheaper than most triple-A releases right now. This might make the DLC more palatable for the community.
It won’t be long until FromSoft fans are playing Nightreign themselves. It’s set to launch on May 29, 2025. Some are playing early through the network test, but these players are having to put up with connection issues.
