7 Days To Die: Crossplay Explained
The 1.0 version of 7 Days To Die has finally arrived, but when can players expect to see crossplay added to the game?
As players eagerly await news surrounding some of the game’s larger updates that are set to come out further down the line, they do get to enjoy these smaller changes that are made along the way. This article will cover some of the biggest changes that the 1.3 Stable update has brought to the game.
1
Japanese PS5 Release
Japanese Players Can Now Join The Fun
Those who live in Japan have had a hard time with 7 Days To Die. It took much longer for The Fun Pimps to get the go-ahead to release the game for the PS5 in Japan. Now, that wait is over. The Japanese PS5 version was released on February 13 at 9:00 AM JST. It took longer than anticipated for the developers to get the game certified by Sony.
But, after a few tweaks, the game is now ready to play for those on the Japanese PS5. Needless to say, there will be plenty of new players trying out 7 Days To Die for the very first time.

A Reduced Gore Setting For PC Users
Gore Isn’t For Everyone
To pass the certification process for the Japanese PS5 release, The Fun Pimps put out a version of the game with reduced gore. While this feature is aimed at those on the PS5, PC players can also make use of this feature.

7 Days To Die: Best Base Locations For Navezgane
When it comes to Navezgane in 7 Days to Die, the following locations are ideal places to build a base.
Pressing F1 will bring up the command panel on PC. From here, players can type in tcc. This command will turn down the amount of gore in the game. While it’s not for everyone, those who are sensitive to blood and dismemberment in video games will surely be grateful for this feature.

More Disembarment Options
More Death And Injury Animations
Players who aren’t interested in turning on the reduced gore setting will notice that there are lots more death and injury animations in the game. 7 Days To Die has always had a rather wacky side to it and this change definitely highlights that. Players who want to see Limbs flying all over the place will get a kick out of this new feature.
Zombie animations have come a long way since the game’s release. This latest update just brings an additional gruesome change that many players will enjoy.
4
Random World Generator Quality Reduction For Console Users
Reduces The Risk Of Crashes While Generating Worlds
This update has limited the preview quality when generating random worlds on console devices. Prior to this update, it wasn’t uncommon for console players to experience crashes when trying to preview a generated world using the highest settings.
This is a rather minor change, but it was a much-needed one as there have been plenty of cases where players kept accidentally crashing their consoles. 7 Days To Die is a pretty resource-intensive game. So, by making it a little lighter for console users, players should experience fewer issues while trying to generate a world.
5
PS5 Crash Fixes
Fixes Around Starting And Existing The Game
Sometimes PS5 players experience a crash/freeze when attempting to start or close the game. That should no longer be an issue thanks to this fix. While the bugs themselves weren’t all that common, having a game crash is never a good thing.
For the most part, these crashes didn’t happen all that often. However, there have been a few unlucky players who seemed to experience this issue more often than others. It is unclear what triggered these issues, but now that they have been fixed, players on the PS5 should be able to play without these issues popping up.
6
Molotov Cocktails Now Give Out Less Light
A Great Change For Player Immersion
Before this update, Molotov Cocktails seemed to emit much more light than they should. In confined well-lit areas, lighting a Molotov Cocktail could make it difficult for players to see clearly. This update has reduced the amount of light that comes from a lit Molotov Cocktail.

This change, while small, is a welcome one as fans of fire damage can now use these explosives without worrying about accidentally blinding themselves. This change may even encourage players who don’t usually use these makeshift firebombs to craft them.

Bug Fixed Around Clearing Grover High
A Fix Around Trader Missions In Grover High
Grover High is one of the hardest places to clear in 7 Days To Die. This location is filled to the brim with undead enemies. Due to its difficulty, it is often handed out as late-game clear missions by traders. Unfortunately, there was a bug that could prevent players from completely clearing Grover High.
The only way to fix the issue before this update was to either reload the game and attempt to clear the building again, or simply exit the area and fail the mission. Due to how difficult tier 5 and 6 missions are, it’s easy to see why players would get frustrated when a bug prevented them from being awarded for their hard work. Now that this fix has been put in place, players can take on Grover High clear missions without worrying about the mission breaking.
