Wednesday Star Being Considered For A Major MCU Role

Over the years, Marvel Studios has brought in plenty of incredible actors who have been part of significant other franchises, whether that’s been in movies or television shows. It has helped to inject the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a lot of quality in terms of the performances within the film and television shows, while it has also attracted audiences to check them out due to trusting those big stars to deliver. Marvel Studios always wants the most prominent names as they can benefit any project, and it has proven that superhero movies will bring outstanding quality.

From an actor’s perspective, being involved in the MCU can benefit their careers due to the amount of attention it puts on them as the movies are so popular. The likes of Robert Downey Jr. have entirely transformed their careers due to being in the MCU, showcasing the positive impact it can have. Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby are set to make their MCU debuts this year in The Fantastic Four: First Steps as some of the next big names joining this world. But Marvel Studios already has its eye on the next big-name actor they want to be involved.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is reportedly considering Jenna Ortega to play a big role within the MCU. Ortega is someone who has established herself as a significant name in the Hollywood industry as the lead star for Netflix’s hit series Wednesday. At the same time, she has also thrived on the big screen as part of the Scream franchise and in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Now, she could be edging towards stepping into the superhero genre as part of the MCU at some stage.

Ortega hasn’t been officially linked to any character at this point, although she was previously rumored for the role of White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again, which didn’t end up happening. However, the fact that Marvel Studios is considering Ortega is a positive sign that the company has a character in mind and a future project for which she could be the right fit, whether that’s a villain or a hero.

The MCU has no shortage of projects coming up, whether that be Disney Plus shows or blockbuster movies, and there will also be tons of unannounced roles available for Ortega to potentially take on. She’s proven herself to be a fantastic actress capable of great performances, and it’s easy to see why Marvel Studios would be interested in hiring her for a future role.

There will be no shortage of fan casting for Ortega in the MCU, as so many incredible characters have yet to be introduced to the franchise. Considering the upcoming introduction of the X-Men, there will be even more options for Marvel Studios to play with, and Ortega could be in the perfect age bracket to be part of that particular project moving forward in the foreseeable future. Regardless of who she ends up playing, the possibility of Ortega being in the MCU is exciting due to the quality she brings.
