Throne and Liberty made a big splash on Steam last year, and the newest MMORPG from Amazon Games still holds onto the crown of the most-played free MMO on the Valve platform four months after it first launched. As its first expansion looms, the developer is positioning players for the major upgrade by restructuring its community onto new, consolidated servers. With the launch of Throne and Liberty update 1.15, you can now manually transfer for free, and there are plenty of reasons to log in over the coming weeks.
While Throne and Liberty’s current average peak player count is down from its initial launch high in October 2024, there’s plenty on the horizon for the MMORPG. March will bring us its first free expansion, Wilds of Talandre, which reworks combat and weapon mastery, and will see the level cap expanded and another tier of gear introduced as we head to a new region. It promises to be a major check-in moment, and to give everyone the best experience possible, Amazon Games and Smilegate are consolidating their servers to normalize player distribution.

That process starts today, Thursday February 13, with a two-week period of free server transfers. You can claim yours from the in-game shop, with transfer cooldowns reset for all characters. If you haven’t manually moved by Thursday February 27, you’ll be automatically placed onto the corresponding destination server for your current location.
To encourage players to take part and actually engage with their newfound communities right away, all Throne and Liberty characters across all servers will receive a trio of buffs that last from now until Thursday February 27. You’ll earn 20% more Sollant from hunting monsters, gain 50% more mastery experience from all sources, and receive 50% more Training Dew from everywhere that gives it. Note that your earned mastery progress will be converted into the new, reworked system when Wilds of Talandre lands.
That’s not all – you’ll also earn a check-in reward every day from now through the next two weeks, including everything from Growthstones and Passive Skill Books to Sollant, Dimensional Essence, and even the Brawler Captain Dentwerp Amitoi. Alongside that is the Valentine’s Day event, with additional daily log-in rewards, seasonal crafted recipes, and special event vendors available from now until Wednesday February 26.
Throne and Liberty update 1.15 is out now. You can read through the full patch notes courtesy of Amazon Games and Smilegate, which include the launch of a new Ember’s Star battle pass, the ability to open more boss rewards in one-star dungeons, an increase to the maximum stack size for many items, and some additional tweaks and bug fixes.
