Quick Links
Chainsaw Man will be getting its very own movie set to be released in 2025, and it will cover the Reze Arc, also called the Bomb Girl Arc. There are already two teasers out with a few key visuals, and so far, they look pretty promising.
Season one ended up covering some major arcs, including the Eternity Devil and the Katana Man arc. Much to the fans’ surprise, instead of a season two, the studio plans to give us a movie. The decision to cover this whole arc as a movie might be due to the slow pacing many fans complained about in Chainsaw Man season one.

What To Expect From Reze Arc
A New Love Interest?
The Reze Arc covers the titular character Reze, who is going to be an essential character for Denji’s own personal development. The seemingly innocent and shy girl introduces Denji to a whole other world. Reze helps Denji enjoy the simplest of things to win his love and trust.
Our boy finally gets to go on cute dates in this arc with his ultimate crush, Makima, as well as our new character, Reze, whom Denji also ends up having feelings for. It will be very entertaining to see how Denji makes his way through this love triangle.
A Deeper Analysis Of Major Characters
This arc will not only shine a light on new characters but will also give us more about the personal lives of characters we saw in the first season, including Aki, Makima and Power. We will get some super wholesome interactions between Denji and Reze. Reze will give Denji the kind of love he has never experienced before.
Now, the biggest mystery is whether her feelings toward Denji are pure or if she has some ulterior motives. Aki, on the other hand, continues to be the anchor of the group and is as cautious and responsible as ever. While in this specific arc, we won’t see Makima shine much, but we will get some glimpses of Denji’s mysterious love interest.

Chainsaw Man might finally reveal the release date for the movie.
Can Reze Arc Redefine The Franchise Or Become A Bad Decision For The Studio
While many fans were disappointed by the lack of a second season in favor of a movie, the teasers and visuals that have been released so far have given us hope that this decision might be the right one. Two teasers have been released so far, and both have shown much more improved and vibrant animation. The teaser already shows Denji and Reze hanging out a lot with each other. Reze is surely going to influence Denji’s personal development a lot as she helps him live the actual teenage experience, something that seemed a bit too out of reach for Denji, who has only struggled throughout his life.
The second teaser starts with Reze asking Denji if he would prefer the life of a town mouse or a country mouse, which sort of makes him confused as to which life is better: a simple life with safety or a better life with all the luxuries but constant fear of the predators. This statement could actually be pointed towards the risks and rewards associated with public safety. Denji could be the country mouse seeking the luxuries that a city mouse has. Could it be that there is a city mouse who will take advantage of Denji’s greed to seek more? This upcoming arc will reveal whatever the outcome will be. Also, with the major villain, the Bomb Devil, to look forward to, we can only expect great things from the upcoming anime.
Hopefully, if it remains consistent in the animation and visuals it has revealed so far, Chainsaw Man might be met with the same success as some of the major anime film releases like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Being the masterpiece it is, Chainsaw Man definitely deserves more recognition, and hopefully, this movie can bring in more fans to appreciate this amazing anime.
