Ishitani and Mori Interview Shows They’re Interested In Working On A Feature Film
They’re the Creators of One Piece Fan Letter
Just recently, Megumi Ishitani, as well as Masami Mori conducted an interview where they revealed some interesting information. These two worked on One Piece Fan Letter, as well as other One Piece episodes. Specifically, in One Piece Fan Letter, Megumi had the role of director and storyboard artist, and Mori was the Animator Supervisor, an animator himself, and handled a lot of the character designs, along with doing a bit of the board as well. They both have shown some terrific work, and fans are always excited to see their names on projects.
In their most recent interview, they said they would like to work on a feature film, which is incredibly exciting for any One Piece fan. Here’s what their interview entailed:
Q: So, what’s next on the horizon? Do the three of you have any goals for the future?
Ishitani: I don’t think about the future. I always think whatever I’m working on at the moment is going to be my last work. Although if I do take on another project, l am interested in feature films. I’ve been saying I wanted to get involved with a theatrical production for a while, but I haven’t had the opportunity to do so. I’d like to try working on a feature-length film at least once.
Mori: I’d also like to try working on a feature film. And I want to continue to improve as a keyframe artist.
What this Means for the Future of One Piece Movies
While these two have expressed they would like to work on a feature film, right now, there are no announced movies for One Piece, although there should be one soon enough, as it has been a while since the release of Film Red, which was a gigantic success at the Box Office.
However, even if a movie is announced for One Piece, there is no guarantee these two will work on it. Although, if they did, One Piece fans would be more than excited as their work never disappoints.
