Sniper Elite: Resistance is a game that generally gets a little bit easier every time you get through a level. It’s a game with missions that are meant to be replayed, and clearing each mission again and again helps you to understand what to anticipate, and how to better navigate it.

Sniper Elite: Resistance – Best Stealth Loadout
The perfect loadout definitely exists, and you’ll easily tackle any objective with it while sneaking about.
If you’re looking to thrust some of the difficulty back into levels once you’ve gotten through them a couple times, playing the game on Authentic difficulty is a great way to do it. Authentic difficulty can be a fantastic challenge;going into that challenge with the right loadout makes all the difference.
Authentic Difficulty
Authentic difficulty in Sniper Elite: Resistance essentially gets rid of most of the game-like mechanics of it; nearly all of them, apart from the fact that you’re playing from a third-person perspective. Health regeneration is off outside using healing items, you have no radar and no “spotted” indicators, no ammo indicator on the bottom of your screen; nothing.
This means you’ll need to pay close attention to every aspect of your loadout, your character, and your environment. While bringing the right gear into the fight is crucial, it’s no substitute for smart play. A combination of the two is going to be the best path to success.
Best Authentic Loadout
Weapons in Authentic difficulty need to be able to pack a punch. You need to be able to take a target down very quickly, because if you’re in a situation where multiple targets are in front of you, they’re going to drop you extremely quickly.
In an ideal scenario, you aren’t going to be in a position to get ambushed by multiple enemies at the same time. This is going to require planning, traps, and choosing the right targets with your equipment.
Loadout Overview
This loadout is going to give you the tools necessary to get out of Authentic difficulty largely unscathed.

Best Primary Weapon
The Lee NO.4 is one of the best weapons in the game, so it tracks that it would be included in a loadout meant to be used in the most difficult mode the game offers.
Best Attachments For The Lee NO.4
The Lee NO.4 has some of the best range potential of any weapon in the game, solid damage, and a great rate of fire. With the right attachments, you can accentuate all of these strengths until few weapons can possibly compare.
This table does not cover every attachment slot, just the attachments that are especially important.

Mk II Suppressor |

20RD Magazine |

All of these attachments increase the rate of fire on the Lee NO.4, increase the aiming stability, or reduce the audible distance. This is all going to make it a weapon that’s easier to use, and a weapon that you can use in more situations without giving yourself away.
On those longer-range shots where you don’t necessarily need to worry about audible range, it’s particularly useful to use the Soft Point ammo. That extra damage helps ensure your shot is lethal, which is important because follow-up shots on an enemy that’s heading for cover at range can be particularly difficult in Authentic.

Here are the best kill challenges in Sniper Elite: Resistance!
Best Secondary Weapon
The Trench Gun is possibly the most unique weapon in the game, with it being the only shotgun. Because of that, it’s the only weapon able to fill in such a unique niche.
That niche is a secondary weapon that can dispatch almost any enemy that it hits in one shot. The Trench Gun is capable of this in a wide variety of ranges, even without a plethora of attachments on it.
Best Attachments For The Trench Gun
The most important thing to bring along with the Trench Gun is a variety of different ammo types, which will be listed below. That said, certain attachments can add some extra value.
Slot |
Attachment |
---|---|
Special Ammo |
Rifled Soft Slug/.36 Shot |
Sight |
Rifled And Improved Iron Sights |
Muzzle |
Improved Cylinder |
Receiver |
Lightened Assembly |
These attachments give the Trench Gun slightly better spread accuracy, a better firing rate, and an improved sight.
That improved sight might seem like a moot point on a shotgun, but the Rifled Soft Slug rounds have an effective range of 200 meters. Meanwhile, the .36 Shot ammo type has an effective range slightly better than the default as well, giving you ammo types for long-range, medium-range, and close-range, all with a shotgun.
It is absolutely imperative to have a secondary weapon that can drop close-range enemies with ease in Authentic difficulty, since sometimes you’re unaware that you’re being pressed until you’re under fire. The Trench Gun allows you to make a triviality of these enemies, making it undoubtedly the best weapon for the situation.
Best Pistol
The best pistol for an Authentic loadout is more up for debate. For the most part, a pistol in this situation has the role of being a silent, close-range option. It has to be able to put enemies down in one well-placed shot, without nearby enemies being the wiser for it.
Both the Welrod and the Modèle 1935A are capable of this, and both have pros and cons. The Welrod does more damage, making it the more assured one-shot, while the Modèle 1935A is a little bit more forgiving in its fire rate, though it’s a bit louder with less damage.
The Best Modèle 1935A Attachments
The Modèle 1935A has been included here because it’s going to be a lower-risk option than the Welrod. The Welrod has a higher ceiling, but the Modèle 1935A is going to cause fewer problems.

Adapted Pu |

Muzzle |
Modded M-27 Suppressor |
Magazine |
Reduced-Load Magazine |

Lightweight 712S |
Rear Grip |
Khaki Grip Tape |
Receiver |
Reinforced Overpressure |
With this combination of attachments, the Modèle 1935A is going to be extremely quiet (especially with Subsonic Rounds), going to deal increased damage, and have both better aiming stability and a much better sight.
Ideally, this is going to ensure you plant your shot directly underneath an enemy’s helmet, consistently dropping them without anyone hearing it. If you’re in a situation where enemies aren’t quite as close, and you can rely entirely on the suppressor for the stealth aspect, switching to the Soft Point rounds can help ensure a one-shot kill.
Best Items
Authentic Mode requires bringing quite a few different items for different purposes. You need to be ready to adapt to an enemy force that’s much more difficulty to deal with, and that means you need a lot of tools at your disposal to even the odds.
Med Kit
Health does not automatically regenerate in Authentic difficulty, inflating the value of healing items dramatically. A Med Kit will bring you to full health from wherever you were, and that is going to quite literally save your life.
Bandages
Bandages are not as dramatic as a Med Kit in their healing effect, but they also don’t take nearly as long to apply. You can also carry many more of these at a time, helping you get back to full health from less critical injuries.
Grenade
Grenades are very multi-faceted, great for taking care of groups of enemies, enemies in cover, or quietly taking down a couple of enemies at a time.
Teller Mine
Mines are going to save your life in many situations where you didn’t know you were in danger in Authentic difficulty. Setting up in a location to snipe can yield great results, but you’re not always going to be aware that enemies know where you are.
Placing Teller Mines on the flanking routes that lead to you will give you a lethal alarm system informing you that you have Nazis on their way. Place them before you take shots, and they’ll be like having backup.
Schu-Mines
Schu-Mines will do in a pinch as a replacement for Teller Mines, or they’re a great way to quietly disrupt an enemy’s movement pattern without risking a shot.
They also have a Lure Mine variant, which can draw enemies into a position that’s more advantageous for you.
TNT
TNT is much less subtle than Schu-Mines and even less subtle than grenades, but when there’s something big that needs blown up, TNT is going to get the job done. Placed well, TNT will destroy or severely incapacitate most vehicles in the game.
