Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Phase 1 banners will go live from the 12th of February, 2025 till the 4th of March, 2025. The Version 5.4 Phase 1 banners will feature one new character and one re-run 5-Star character with a dual banner.

Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Phase 1 First character banner: Dawn’s Drifting Reverie

  • Yumemizuki Mizuki (5* Anemo/Catalyst)
  • Gorou (4* Geo/Bow)
  • Xiangling (4* Pyro/Polearm)
  • Sayu (4* Anemo/Claymore)

Mizuki is an Anemo on-field driver who specializes in Swirl reactions and AoE damage. Her kit revolves around her Dream Drifter state, which she enters through her Skill. While in this state, Mizuki automatically fires Anemo attacks and provides a Swirl damage buff to her team.

However, she cannot perform Normal Attacks, making her reliant on off-field supports that do not require Normal Attacks to trigger their abilities. Mizuki is one of the few dedicated on-field Swirl drivers and provides a unique AFK-friendly gameplay style. Her kit shines in multi-target scenarios, where she can consistently trigger Swirls and amplify elemental reactions.

However, she struggles in single-target encounters due to Swirl’s lower effectiveness in such scenarios. While she is somewhat redundant compared to Sucrose, Mizuki remains a solid standard five-star unit, offering strong AoE potential and a comfortable playstyle for reaction-based teams.

Sigewinne is a Hydro healer whose kit focuses on healing, minor crowd control, and buffing Elemental Skill damage. Her Elemental Skill, Rebound Hydrotherapy, sends out a bouncing bubble that heals allies (except herself) and deals Hydro damage based on her Max HP.

Holding the skill increases the bubble’s size, slightly boosting its damage and healing while also immobilizing weaker enemies. Her Elemental Burst, Super Saturated Syringing, deals AoE Hydro damage based on her Max HP and absorbs nearby Sourcewater Droplets to restore Energy.

Her passive talents enhance her healing and team synergy, with one boosting Skill damage for off-field allies, another scaling healing based on Bonds of Life, and a final passive that provides emergency healing underwater. Her Hydro application is weak, making her a suboptimal choice for reaction-based teams unless paired with another Hydro unit.

Why you should go for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne in Genshin Impact Version 5.4

If you enjoy reaction-based AoE gameplay and a low-maintenance, AFK-friendly playstyle, Mizuki is a solid choice. As an on-field Anemo driver, she excels in multi-target scenarios, spreading elements with Swirl and buffing her team’s damage. However, her single-target performance is weaker, and she is more restrictive in team-building compared to Sucrose.

Mizuki shines best in Taser, Aggravate, and Hyperbloom teams but may struggle in content focused on high single-target DPS checks. She’s an excellent pick for casual players or those who want a new Standard 5-star with unique AoE capabilities. On the other hand, Sigewinne is a Hydro healer who brings team-wide sustain, minor crowd control, and skill buffs.

She is a strong pick for teams that rely on Elemental Skills, but her Hydro application is weak, making her less effective for reaction-heavy playstyles unless paired with another Hydro unit. Sigewinne fits best in Mono Hydro and Furina-based teams, offering reliable healing and synergy with Bond of Life mechanics. However, she faces competition from Kokomi, who provides better healing, stronger Hydro application, and more team flexibility.

If I had to choose, Sigewinne offers better long-term utility due to her strong healing and synergy with Furina, making her a safer investment for most players. However, if you prefer fast-paced Swirl teams and fun AoE combat, Mizuki is a great pick, especially since you can eventually get her for free through the Standard 5-star Selector. Ultimately, it depends on your playstyle preference and whether you prioritize healing or reaction-based combat.
