There are loads of skins, but lately you might have discovered players running around as one you’ve never before. It’s all thanks to a new bug that lets you play as an unreleased Fortnite skin. Thanks to new features added to Default skins in Lego modes, players have found a bizarre new skin in-game. One that probably shouldn’t ever have existed.
This is a new skin, but it isn’t available in the item shop, or the Battle Pass. There’s nothing in the game that should allow you to access them. So how are players finding it? It’s an exploit using what appears to be an error with Lego mode styles to get access to a special skin. While it is a version of the default skin, it’s a particularly strange and blank one. Almost like the Sweat Fortnite skin of a plain superhero. What is this new unreleased Fortnite skin and how can you play as it?

What is the Skin?
The new skin has been discovered by players in recent days. It’s a bit of a weird skin, unreleased, but it doesn’t look like it’s one of the upcoming Fortnite skins we’re expecting later. Instead, it seems to be a bug.
From the looks of the skin and how you can access it, it seems to be linked to the Lego versions of skins. A blank version of generic bodies seems to be being generated where a normal Fortnite skin asset doesn’t exist. It’s in the game as a bug, but fun to play around with and confuse some players in your lobbies. How do you get it?
How to Play as Unreleased Fortnite Skin
The new unreleased Fortnite skin can be accessed by anyone in-game, but you’ll need to jump through a few hoops. This is how you can do it:
- Open Fortnite and equip a default skin

- Switch your playlist to a Lego mode
- Return to your locker, and go to edit under the default skin before selecting Emmy (It only works with this default)
- Select one of the new Casual style for the skin

- Switch back to a normal Battle Royale mode
- You should be able to play as an unreleased Fortnite skin
Go through these steps, and the game should try to load the full-Fortnite version of the casual defaults. Which basically don’t exist. So, in their place we seem to get this weird blank skin! It won’t win any prizes or best Fortnite skins, but it’s really interesting to see such a strange skin in lobbies. It can be a lot of fun to use before it’s patched.
