Civilization 7 has changed many aspects of warfare with the introduction of its new Army Commanders, but healing your units has remained largely the same: they heal less when in enemy or neutral territory, and heal faster if they’re in friendly territory. All units can heal anywhere on the map, even including ships, which can now heal while on coastal tiles. This is a big change from previous games where you’d have to send your ships all the way home before healing them.

How To Heal Your Units
Every unit in Civ 7 can be healed, and the heal button is located in the same place on all units – although it is actually hidden behind a small sliding menu on the unit card at the bottom right of the screen.
Just click on the arrow next to your unit card and it will open a separate menu, with the heal button located there alongside wait and skip turn.
Units will heal a small percentage of their health every turn, although this can be impacted by a variety of factors – whether that be policy cards in place, crises that might be happening, army commander buffs, and much more.
Healing Buffs And Debuffs
There are a variety of healing buffs and debuffs in Civilization 7, but generally this information is portrayed to you quite clearly as a player. For example, in the Army Commander promotion tree, there are two healing-related promotions that you can pick up along the way.
Alternatively, you may have policy cards that improve your unit’s healing, or crises cards that reduce your healing. Certain World Wonders, Natural Wonders, buildings and leader and civilization buffs can also impact your unit’s healing. Whether you’re located in enemy, neutral, or friendly territory will also impact how quickly – or slowly – your units heal over time.
