This is a real city, now known by its Czech name of Kutna Hora, and back in 1403 it was one of the most rich and influential cities in the Holy Roman Empire thanks to its silver mines.

However, players may not know how to get to the Kuttenberg map in KCD2 and desire to experience the bustling city. This guide will explain how players can reach the second map, but for those who want to avoid spoilers, simply play through the main story, and you’ll eventually travel there.
How To Get To The Kuttenberg Map In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To gain access to the Kuttenberg map in KCD2, players will have to play through every main story mission in the Trosky region, but don’t worry about completing the region, as most side quests can be returned to later.
After completing Necessary Evil, players will be warned that the next main quest, For Victory, will lock them out of free-roam gameplay for a while.

After completing The Storm, Henry will travel to the Kuttenberg map via a cutscene, and then The Sword and the Quill quest will begin, with players close to gaining free access to the open world once more.
Main Quests After Arriving In The Second Map
The Sword and the Quill takes place in the castle of Suchdol and is quick and easy. Once complete, the only thing left to unlock free-roaming, and gain proper access to the Kuttenberg map, is to play through and finish the Speak of the Devil quest.

Players are now free to explore the second map in KCD2 and can ride to Kuttenberg as soon as they like. It’s also possible to travel back to Trosky whenever and switch between the two maps.

Where Is The City Of Kuttenberg In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After rescuing the Dry Devil, Henry will unlock two quests, Into the Underworld and The Devil’s Pack. They can also acquire a bed and chest at the Devil’s Den where the previous quest finished.
Those who want to visit Kuttenberg are now free to do so, and they can follow the marker for the Into the Underworld quest. Essentially, head southeast along the main roads and you can’t miss it. The city is huge and takes up a significant portion of the lower-right map.
- Pass through Grund to the southeast.
- Then carry on the road southeast past Old Kutna.
- Kuttenberg has many gates to pass through.
