Elden Ring Nightreign‘s announcement last December took a lot of FromSoftware fans by surprise. A 3-player co-op roguelike with battle royale elements, Elden Ring Nightreign sounded like nothing FromSoft had ever really attempted before, and naturally, fans were intrigued to see how the game would look in action, and if FromSoft’s risky experiment was going to pay off.
Well, previews for Elden Ring Nightreign have started to roll in, and generally speaking, they seem pretty positive. Game Rant’s own Nightreign preview says it’ll “likely resonate with Souls veterans and newcomers alike.” Accompanying these positive previews was a release date confirmation of May 30, and alongside that was a reveal of a $200 collector’s edition, which follows the pattern of its Elden Ring predecessors nicely.

Comparing All of Elden Ring’s Collector’s Editions
Elden Ring’s Collector’s Edition – Retailed for $190
Retailing for $189.99, Elden Ring‘s collector’s edition was highly sought after by many fans caught up in the storm of Elden Ring‘s pre-release hype. Elden Ring‘s collector’s edition contained the following items:
- Physical copy of Elden Ring
- 9-inch statue of Malenia
- Exclusive steelbook
- Digital soundtrack
- 40-page hardcover artbook
On the whole, Elden Ring‘s collector’s edition wasn’t bad value for money, with its 9-inch statue of Malenia and exclusive steelbook being the two standout inclusions. And when Elden Ring‘s base price of $60 is taken into consideration, fans were essentially spending $120 to get some extra physical goodies, which is about on par with most collector’s editions.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s Collector’s Edition – Retailed for $250
Despite only being an expansion, Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC received its own collector’s edition last year, which included the following items:
- Digital code for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
- 18-inch statue of Messmer
- 40-page hardcover artbook
- Digital soundtrack
Though far from the most egregious premium edition ever made, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree‘s $250 collector’s edition arguably gave fans much less value than the base game’s. With Shadow of the Erdtree being digital-only, this collector’s edition didn’t come with an exclusive steelbook or a physical copy of the game. Essentially, fans were paying $60 more for a bigger statue, albeit a well-detailed one twice the size of Malenia.
Elden Ring Nightreign’s Collector’s Edition – Retailing for $199
A price much more in line with the original 2022 game, Elden Ring Nightreign‘s collector’s edition is retailing for $199, and it includes the following:
- Physical copy of Elden Ring Nightreign
- Post-launch DLC
- Steelbook
- 25cm (9.8 inches) statue of Wylder
- 40-page hardcover artbook
- 8 Nightfarer cards
- Digital soundtrack
At a glance, it seems as though Elden Ring Ngihtreign‘s $199 collector’s edition is decent value for money. It contains a physical copy of Nightreign and a steelbook to go with it. It contains a detailed statue of Wylder. And it even includes physical art cards for each of Nightreign‘s 8 playable characters.
Elden Ring Nightreign‘s collector’s edition also comes with a code for the game’s post-launch DLC, which is said to add new playable characters and bosses. For around $50 less than Shadow of the Erdtree‘s collector’s edition, this package seems much more worth the hefty price tag, even if its statue is technically half the size of Messmer.
