With a State Of Play taking place on Wednesday night, and more Astro Bot DLC coming at some point, many expected new levels to be revealed during the presentation. That didn’t happen and for some reason, PlayStation has revealed that DLC the morning after it held a State Of Play designed to house all of its big reveals.
The announcement kicks off with the reveal that the speedrun level used during the recent PlayStation XP Tournament will be added to the game so the rest of us can play it. That level – Tick-Tock Shock – will be available via an update going live at 10 am EST today, so in less than an hour from the time of typing this.

Reggie Fils-Aime Says Astro Bot “Almost Outdid Nintendo At Its Own Game”
That’s some big praise coming from the former president of Nintendo of America.
Much like the initial run of DLC, a new level will be added to Astro Bot each Thursday from now through March 13. There’s also a PS5 Pro update coming to the game meaning those of you with the enhanced version of the console will be getting an even better-looking Astro Bot. Unsure how that’s even possible, so pretty impressive.
Astro Bot fans thought they might be getting a little more DLC after an all-new speedrunning level was shown off during PlayStation Tournaments XP last month. Until now there was radio silence on whether the rest of us would get the chance to play through that DLC from PlayStation and Team Asobi. Now we know when we will be able to dive in and prove we can do better than the professionals who played it with the world watching.
The next batch of Astro Bot DLC has a lot to live up to considering how well-received the initial run of new levels was between launch and the holidays. The additional levels were geared towards speedrunners with global leaderboards, each of them tasking players with mastering a different ability. There was also a Christmas level players could explore without the clock against them that included a lot of cameos missing from the base game.
The other Astro Bot announcement expected during the State Of Play was the reveal of an Astro Bot PS5 bundle. It’s rumored that PlayStation has bundled its new platformer with its newest console and that the bundle will be released in March. If the leak is accurate, PlayStation isn’t ready to tell us about it yet.
