Great People return in Civilization 7, albeit with a fresh twist. Rather than earning them when you gain enough points of their particular caliber, you can “create” them yourself if you have a civilization which offers them as a unique unit. To be more precise, you create that type of unique unit; the actual Great Person you’ll receive is randomly selected from within its unit’s list.
