Every herb and plant in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has a use in a recipe, whether it be for a helpful potion or a dangerous poison. However, some of them are much harder to find than others. You’ll run into the likes of Chamomile everywhere, but Wormwood is much harder to find.

Much like all of the other herb descriptions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the one for Wormwood is very vague. Even if you go to exactly where it says, you still have quite a low chance of finding it. It’s often a little off the beaten path.

Where To Find Wormwood

Unlike most herbs and plants in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’re actually better off finding Wormwood out in the wild than buying it from Herbalists or Apothecaries.

The game’s description of Wormwood says it “grows on roadsides and in fields.” For the most part, that is right, but you’re better off heading to two locations we know you’ll find it at.

You can find it in the woods north of Tachov, or growing in the front section of the garden at Herbalist Barnaby’s cabin. Grab whatever you need from either location. You can then use it for whatever recipe you want to craft.

If you’re going to get Wormwood from Herbalist Barnaby’s garden, be sure to take it during the night while he’s asleep. He won’t be happy if he sees you taking it.

Can You Buy Wormwood?

The wormwood codex entry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

While there’s nothing in the game to say you can’t buy Wormwood from merchants, none of the normal shops sell it. Herbalist Barnaby himself doesn’t sell it himself, nor do the herbalists and apothecaries in the Trosky region’s Nomad’s camp or Kuttenberg City.

Unless you’ve managed to stumble across a merchant who does sell Wormwood, you’ll have to pick it yourself whenever you need it for a recipe.

If you’re going to keep Wormwood for a while, be sure to dry it at a Drying Rack first so that it lasts longer than the fresh plant would.
