An unannounced Digimon game has been leaked, titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and it’s possible that it could be revealed soon.
Spotted by Gematsu, GameStop has preorder listings for Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While no other information about the game is shown in the listing, it has a placeholder release date for December 31, 2025, indicating that it could be released this year.
PlayStation’s February 2025 State of Play presentation is set to air later today, so Digimon Story: Time Stranger could be officially announced there. Back in 2017, Bandai Namco producer Kazumasa Habu confirmed that a new Digimon Story game was in development, so it’s been quite a few years since the last entry, which was 2018’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory.
The last update we got from Habu was back during Digimon Con 2022, when he stated that the next Digimon Story game has a story themed around the Olympos XII, a group of 12 god-like Digimon, modeled after the real-life 12 Olympians.
As for other possible reveals during the February 2025 State of Play, we may get more information about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
