The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 release window has reportedly slipped to March, according to one leaker. While the original release window of February was confirmed by Nvidia, a specific date was never announced, and it looks as though the budget gaming GPU could now be coming out later than expected.

You can read about the flagship new Nvidia GPU in our RTX 5090 review, but if you were holding out for the RTX 5070 release date window, this reported delay could mean you’re left waiting a little longer.

Tweet from MEGAsizeGPU stating the RTX 5070 will be delayed to early March

Few details are offered in the leak, which comes from regular tech leaker MEGAsizeGPU on X, formerly Twitter. The post simply states “The RTX5070 will be delayed. Instead of February, it will be on the shelf in early March.”

This leaker has good form for leaks on Nvidia cards, however, with them correctly stating that Nvidia would release a 20Gbps GDDR6 RTX 4070 in 2023.

With the halfway point of February fast approaching, Nvidia may feel pressure to confirm the delay sooner rather than later, and will hopefully provide an explanation on why it is necessary if that is indeed the case. It’s also noteworthy that this reported delay would push the RTX 4070 closer to the AMD Radeon RX 9070 release window.

We have also covered the reported AMD Radeon RX 9070 price strategy, which could result in the new GPU retailing with an extremely competitive MSRP, making this potential clash all the more intriguing.
