Not every level is crafted the same, and some offer something unique that helps them stand out. This can mean a special target, a scenic view, or a challenge that keeps your heart pumping as you make your way toward the final confrontation.

Escape From Berlin
One Good Level
While many consider Sniper Elite V2 to be the first true game in the series, the original Sniper Elite often finds itself overshadowed by its sequel. If any mission manages to climb above the rest, it’s Escape From Berlin.
Sniper Elite often fails as a stealth game, with enemies ganging up on you after a single gunshot. In Escape From Berlin, this makes plot sense. After your truck is attacked, you get down to clear the threat so you can escape. The situation and the gameplay come together to give players a heart-pumping experience.

Fort Riffugio
Shoot To The Beat
Sniper Elite 3’s Fort Riffugio is an extraction mission where you need to rescue an informant from the clutches of the Italian army. The nighttime setting, mixed with the lighting of the fort in the distance, fills the stage with an ominous air.

Everything radiates hostility as you sneak onto the fort’s grounds. Luckily, this stage offers plenty of moments where you can mask your shots with even louder noises. Once you extract your target, all hell breaks loose. It’s a solid stage with a good mix of tense and exciting moments.

Occupied Residence
Pick A Path
While you can always choose a difficulty on the main menu, it’s always exciting to see the difficulty of a mission vary depending on your choices. Sniper Elite is known for giving you multiple ways to complete a mission, but in Sniper Elite 5’s Occupied Residence, it is more upfront.
With a Mansion looming across the fields, there are multiple paths to reach it. What you have to decide is if you want to take the shorter but more dangerous path or go the long way, which is ideally safer but forces you to trek even further. Being able to clearly see your destination in the distance also gives you a sense of accomplishment as you get closer. The mansion itself is also a treat to look at.

Kraken Awakes
Sneak Aboard A Ship
Some of the best missions in Sniper Elite are locked behind DLC. For Sniper Elite 5, this is Kraken Awakes, which has you practicing your stealth both on the docks and inside a ship.

Kraken Awakes’ layout does its best to stop you from sneaking around. As you make your way towards the objective, stealth options are abundant. However, once you get on the ship, it becomes harder to tell who is around each corner, and one wrong move will ruin your perfect stealth run.

Regilino Viaduct
An Assassin On The Mountainside
Sniper Elite 4 is a gorgeous game. If you want to convince someone to pick it up, Regilino Viaduct is a great mission to start with. Taking place in the thick forests of a mountain, there is plenty of natural cover to help you blend into nature itself.
There are also some neat side objectives besides the railway gun target you’re tasked with destroying. There’s a plane crash you need to investigate and vehicles to track down, giving this stage that extra bit of activity to make it feel truly alive.

Assassinate The Fuhrer
Sniper V2’s Iconic Mission
Killing Hitler is already a great pitch for a Sniper Elite V2 DLC mission. This one started the trend of giving you a fresh mission where you kill the dictator in each new title of Sniper Elite. This mission isn’t as long as some of the others throughout the series, but sometimes a short and sweet experience is all you need.

Spy Academy
Why Location Matters
Some of the best Sniper Elite missions in the series have one thing in common. They all offer a unique location to explore as you seek out your target. Sniper Elite 5’s Spy Academy has plenty of variety since you start in the sandy outskirts and make your way into the academy itself.
There are plenty of ladders that add verticality to the mission but also a great mix of outdoor areas for long-range takedowns and compact spaces within the academy that force players into close-quarters encounters.

Save Churchill Part 3: Confrontation
Sniper Vs Sniper Action
There’s nothing like having historical figures make an appearance in Sniper Elite. While some present you with alternate timeline targets, this one has you protecting none other than Churchill himself. With all sights aimed at Churchill, it is your job to foil the assassination attempt.

This is the final part of the DLC for Sniper Elite 3, which challenges you to spot other snipers hidden throughout the stage. While the level gives you plenty of vantage points to try to smoke them out, you’ll need a sharp eye to see any movement that gives their position away.
2
Deathstorm 3
A Swarm Of Enemies
If you love the hide-and-go-seek gameplay of trying to snipe other snipers, then Sniper Elite 4’s Deathstorm 3 is one of the best missions to play. This is because the game shoves as many enemies as it can onto the playing field. The set is gorgeously designed, but all those extra details only add to the challenge of spotting a sniper from far away.
The rural town offers plenty of places to hide, whether you’re sticking to the trees, sneaking through the houses, or taking the vantage point from a balcony. With more enemies than usual, this is also a great stage for those who love non-stop combat.
1
Target Fuhrer
The Perfect Level With The Perfect Target
This isn’t the first time that Sniper Elite has a mission where you can eliminate Hitler. However, this Sniper Elite 4 mission gives you plenty of ways to take him down. You just need to get a bit creative.
You can drop a grenade in his soup, cause the set to collapse on him during a speech, or even get him near some explosives and blow him up. With many points where an assassination is possible, this level lets you choose how you change the future, making it excellent for multiple playthroughs.
