With the first half of season one of the game ending, Marvel Rivals has announced some changes to the rank of players in the competitive ladder.

Marvel Rivals Announces Seasonal Rank Adjustment

Marvel Rivals launched worldwide in January 2025. Since then, the game has released 30+ heroes from the Marvel comics. Heroes like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America are available in games with skins similar to those in their movies and comic counterparts. The most recent hero released within the game is Mr. Fantastic, the founder and leader of the Fantastic Four in the comics.
In the Dev Talk article by Marvel Rivals, they have announced that the first half of Marvel season one will conclude on Feb. 21 at 8:00 (UTC+0). Following this, The Thing and Human Torch from the Fantastic Four will be released in the game. Players that are present on ranks higher than Gold will receive a costume reward. Players at the Grandmaster rank or along the top 500 players will obtain a Crest of Honor.
The competitive rank of players within Marvel rivals will be reset on Feb 21. Players will be dropped four divisions within the ranked ladder. For example, players who finish in Diamond 1 will start the second half of the season in Platinum 2.
There will be new costume rewards for players in ranks Gold and above and a Crest of Honor for players in the Grandmaster or higher. Players must play at least 10 matches during the second half of season 1 to be eligible for rewards.
Finally, Marvel Rivals has announced that going forward, at the start of a new season, players should anticipate a drop of 6 ranks. This is majorly done to ensure that the ladder’s competitive integrity is present. With the release of The Thing and Human Torch imminent, only time will tell what will be the meta during the second half of the season.
