LoL Patch 25.S1.4 – Large list of champion changes
Compared to the start of the new ranked season, Riot devs have been looking to make more champion changes in the upcoming Patch 25.S1.4.
According to game designer Riot Phroxzon, they are looking to buff up ADCs through the Infinity Edge buffs and reduce the power of specific tank items, which have been dominating the meta over the past few weeks.
Additionally, Mel is receiving major adjustments to make her weaker into beefy frontlines and more of a situational pick. Diana is also getting tuned down due to how powerful her jungle clear has been and her rise to the lower ends of the ranked ladder. Find out all the previewed number changes below.
Patch 25.S1.4 Release Date
The official patch schedule for 2025 has been confirmed, and Patch 25.S1.4 will be released on Feb. 20, 2025.
How will the upcoming patch shake the meta?
There are a couple of changes that might shift the meta. For SoloQ, I’m mainly looking at the Diana nerfs and Elise changes, which should affect their clearing speed (slower for Diana, faster for Elise).
We should also see tank champions be less oppressive as Undending Despair, Fimbulwinter and Abyssal Mask have all been nerfed. Champions like Cho’Gath and Sion might feel it more than others.
In the ADC department, we’ll likely see an increase in the play rate of crit-ADCs, although I still feel like hypercarries are the priority at the moment. Lulu’s nerfs will be felt, so other enchanters supports should rise in priority.
