KC vs VIT – LEC Winter Playoffs Preview

After a disappointing 2024 season, Karmine Corp have finally shown their worth at the start of the LEC 2025. On top of bringing the long-awaited Caliste, KC brought in Yike from G2 to form a top-of-the-line roster.

With Canna, Vladi, and Targamas also looking in much better form, KC was able to finish second in the standings.

That said, the team has looked a little shaky in the last week, ending the split with two losses. While one was against the no.1 team FNC, the other one against BDS was probably not expected.

In their defense, it was quite clear that KC were testing out a draft close to the Korean teams with Jayce and Nidalee, and it probably didn’t work out as intended. It’s something that must be considered, especially now that the Fearless Draft is coming to playoffs.

For Vitality, the team has shown great potential but in perfect Hylissang style, the team can be somewhat inconsistent. That said, the team has exceeded the expectations with the new rookies, and their level of play can be much closer to the top.

Series Breakdown

With that in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised to see these two teams go toe-to-toe. KC needs to work on polishing their early game execution while VIT mainly has to figure out a way to reduce the random moments and their macro.

Overall, KC is definitely the favored team and with a higher potential. Canna should have no issues with Naak Nako and the same can be said about Vladi against Czajek. So VIT has to put all of its hopes into the bot lane, hoping that Carzzy can outclass Caliste, which is definitely not a certainty.

The predicted score should be a 2-0 win for KC, but VIT has the potential to push it to a three-game. Regardless of who wins, this should be a fun series to watch.
