Season 2 of Solo Leveling has been surprising the fandom with each episode, all thanks to the incredible animation from A-1 Pictures. Fans adored the Korean Manhwa series because of its impeccable action and, of course, the overpowered protagonist, Sung Jinwoo. And well, the anime series has not only matched the excellence of the manhwa series but, in some instances, has even surpassed everyone’s expectations.

In the first season, we saw Sung Jinwoo getting accustomed to The System that was granted to him by the Architect. He indeed became strong in Season 1 of Solo Leveling, but he wasn’t strong enough to be noticed by other strong characters in the series. However, things changed in the second season, as Jinwoo started to catch the attention and gain the respect of some of the most powerful Hunters. Up until now, these top-tier people have learned about Jinwoo’s potential through other sources, but in episode 6 of season 2, some of these people were blessed enough to see Jinwoo in action with their own eyes.

Sung Jinwoo’s Surprising Display Of Power In An A-Rank Dungeon

He Defeats The High Orcs Army And The Dungeon Boss Without Any Help

Sung Jinwoo had already taken the re-evaluation test and was revealed to be Korea’s tenth S-Rank Hunter. However, there was still time for the official announcement and for Jinwoo to receive the S-Rank certificate. Until then, Jinwoo decided to be a part of A-Rank Dungeon raids so that he could justify having some items in his inventory in case he wanted to sell them. Regardless, Jinwoo joined the latest Dungeon raid as a porter upon Son Kihoon’s request. It was supposed to be an easy job, but the presence of the High Orcs army made things difficult for the raiding party. As the Surveillance Team mentioned in the episode, the energy surge made this A-Rank Gate as threatening as an S-Rank Dungeon.

The Hunters were terrified seeing the size of the High Orcs army; it was enough to topple an entire human city if they ever got out of the Dungeon. On top of everything, Kargalgan, the Dungeon Boss, was powerful enough to send chills down everyone’s spine. Except for Son Kihoon, everyone in the raiding party couldn’t even move a muscle. They simply accepted their fate and were waiting to die a slow and painful death. In fact, they couldn’t do anything except feel sorry for Son Kihoon when Kargalgan was toying with the Hunter with his Gravitation Spell. However, at that moment, Sung Jinwoo decides to reveal his true power as he doesn’t want the raiding party to die on his watch.

You’ll regret underestimating us – Sung Jinwoo to Kargalgan.

The A-Rank Hunters were struggling to fight even a single High Orc soldier, and well, they saw Jinwoo killing not one but multiple High Orcs in the blink of an eye. These Hunters have witnessed the summoning magic before, but they have never seen a Hunter summoning an entire army of Shadow Soldiers. On top of that, absolutely no one has ever seen a Hunter using a dead enemy to expand his army. Jinwoo and his Shadow Soldiers fought the entire High Orc army, and the rest of the party couldn’t do anything except watch the fight as spectators.

Cha Hae-In Arrives To Help But Is Left Stunned By Jinwoo’s Strength

Hunter Association’s Surveillance Team Also Arrives On The Scene

Cha Hae-In has been fascinated by Jinwoo ever since she met him, and that is why she decided to learn more about this mysterious Hunter. She learns that Jinwoo has entered an A-Rank Gate as a porter, and she decides to follow the raiding party. However, she soon senses a strong aura coming from the dungeon. Cha Hae-In gets worried about the raiding party and wonders how exactly they were able to kill so many High Orcs. Well, the S-Rank Hunter gets her answer as soon as she enters the Boss room. There, she witnesses Jinwoo dominating the entire High Orcs Army and an S-Rank Boss without any help.

Solo Leveling: Sung Jin-Woo’s Toughest Fights, Ranked

Even though he is the Shadow Monarch with virtually unrivaled strength, Sung Jin-Woo did break a sweat a few times in Solo Leveling’s toughest fights.

Jinwoo wasn’t struggling to defeat this powerful boss; instead, he was flexing his newly found powers because it was the first time he was facing such a strong opponent. Cha Hae-In, holding an axe, watches Jinwoo clearing the entire dungeon from a distance. It wasn’t that Cha Hae-In was incapable of defeating the boss; it was simply her realization that Jinwoo didn’t require anybody’s help that prevented her from stepping into the battle.

He must be a top-tier fighter. But he can also use summoning magic. So, this is the power of Hunter Sung… – Cha Hae-In.

The surveillance team of the Hunter Association also arrives in the dungeon while following Jinwoo. They are some of the few people who already knew about Jinwoo’s true potential, but it was the first time they actually witnessed his might with their own eyes. The surveillance team entered the dungeon to help the assault team, but they were surprised to see Jinwoo humiliating the gigantic form of Kargalgan with his powers. In a way, Jinwoo was enjoying testing his powers against the High Orc’s Boss without realizing that some of the most powerful people in Korea were watching his display of power.

Kargalgan Pays The Price Of Underestimating Jinwoo

From the very beginning, Kargalgan considered humans as weak as insects, so he couldn’t accept the fact that a human could be strong enough to defeat him. However, after sensing Jinwoo’s power, Kargalgan realized that Jinwoo was a Monarch. Kargalgan gave it his all, but the gap between his and Jinwoo’s power was too great. In the end, Jinwoo lived up to his promise and added Kargalgan to his Shadow Army. In his final moments, Kargalgan did regret looking down on Sung Jinwoo and his Shadow Army.

It seems my title of the Ultimate Hunter has become a joke – Choi Jong-In.

Even though people have seen more powerful Hunters or entities, no one has ever witnessed a Korean Hunter clearing out an A-Rank Dungeon on their own. Also, it was the first time that they had seen an assassin-type Hunter using magic to control the dead beasts and summon a massive army. Choi Jong-In, one of Korea’s strongest Hunters, also finds it hard to believe that such a human can even exist. In the end, Choi Jong-In acknowledges that even he can’t defeat the most difficult A-Rank Dungeon on his own and wonders if he truly deserves the title of “The Ultimate Hunter.”
