The battlefields in Delta Force are chaotic at the best of times and if an enemy round doesn’t zip you in the face, then something from up above just might. The Call-In system in the game is a little barebones and expensive, but in the right hands, at the best moment, you can be pretty devastating with it.

One particularly powerful tool is the Artillery Barrage. These big blasts can toss aside troops and vehicles like they’re toys, and on maps with choke points it can be utterly devastating. For those looking to get their hands on some big bangs, here’s how to call in Artillery in Delta Force.

What Is Artillery In Delta Force?

Delta Force: Satelites crashing to Earth as missiles launch towards them.

Artillery is part of the games Call-In system that allows players to activate a special ability in the form of a tactical strike of some sort. There’s smoke, missiles, a vehicle drop and of course an artillery barrage. However, these can’t be triggered constantly as there are prerequisites for use.

Once its set off though, it will absolutely batter an area in high explosive rounds that can still clip you with damage if you’re hiding near a roof or a door when a salvo hits. However, it can’t reach enemy operators hiding in a tunnel, or be used on a map that’s underground. Worth noting is that missile strikes still hit subterranean targets, but this may be patched out in the future as it seems like a bug.
