In the first episode of Urban Myth Dissolution Center, you experience events through the eyes of a young woman named Azami. Constantly seeing eerie, red shadowy figures, Azami seeks answers and ends up meeting Director Meguriya, getting drawn deeper into the mysteries.

While initially helping to solve the Cursed Chair case, she unexpectedly finds herself working for the director. Her first official case involves her friend Mio, where a mysterious entity suddenly appears in Mio’s home. It’s up to you to uncover the truth behind this anomaly. In this guide, we’ll be by your side as you navigate the dark and mysterious first episode of this visual novel.

How To Solve Cursed Chair Case

The first chapter of the game begins with Azami, who sees ghostly entities, arriving at the Urban Myth Dissolution Center. There, she meets Meguriya, who gives her a pair of glasses. Shortly after, Azami accidentally sits on the Cursed Chair. As a result, your first objective is to undo this curse.

1. However, interacting with Meguriya or the Chair won’t lead you to a solution.
2. Aside from them, you can interact with three separate bookshelves and select “Look for file”. Make sure to interact with all of them, but Azami still won’t find anything useful and will decide to speak with the Director.
3. When you talk to the Director, a new dialogue option, “Can’t Find It,” will appear—select it.
4. Then, in order to find the research file, you’ll have to wear the glasses Meguriya gave you. Once you put them on, you’ll be able to clearly see the red-colored ghosts.
5. Interact with the ghost in front of the bookshelf and choose “Examine.” This will give you a clue about the research file.
6. Remove the glasses and speak with the Director again.
7. After your conversation, select the “Case wrapped?” dialogue option.
8. Unfortunately, you still won’t be able to undo the curse, but you will uncover another clue.
9. Ask the Director the dialogue option “How could…”
10. Next, your objective is to examine the Chair—click on it and select “Remember.”
11. This will lead Azami to find a clue about the splinter. Select the Director and then choose “I remember now.”
12. After finishing your conversation, press the “How to undo the curse?” button on the left.

This will lead you to a hypothesis screen where you must correctly arrange key phrases. The correct answer is as follows:

Once you complete the hypothesis, you’ll need to test whether it’s correct. To do this, click on the Chair again, which will reveal the “Take a look” option. Azami will go overboard while checking it and end up breaking the Chair. The Director will then mention that the Chair was borrowed and tell Azami she now has a 10,000,000 yen debt, which she must work to repay.

After this, he will hand you a journal. Click on the journal, then you need to select the Director’s power. The correct choice here is “Vision.” After this, your conversation with Director Meguriya will continue for a while. Then you will meet Jasmine.

After you meet Jasmine, you’ll then set out with her. Inside the van, Jasmine will introduce you to social media research. After the explanation, it’s time to put it into practice.

1. Click on the main post with the police officers’ picture to find a clue.
2. Click on the second comment, which contains a red shadow figure in a photo. This will give you the second clue.
3. Click on the last comment. If you look at the words “Mio’s place”, you’ll notice that they move.
4. Put on your glasses and, after your dialogue with Jasmine, click on the search box at the top of the screen and select Mio’s place.
5. This will open a different screen. On this screen, select the last comment at the bottom—it mentions the name of Mio’s apartment.

Now that you’ve gathered all three clues, the social media research phase is complete.

How To Complete The First Day

Upon arriving at Mio’s place, your goal is to find eight clues:

1. Talk to Mio and exhaust all dialogue options. This will provide the first clue, revealing that this anomaly occurs in old buildings.
2. Once the conversation ends, press the “Good Friend” button on the left to enter information about Mio into your journal. The correct choice for Mio is “Friend at uni.”
3. Talk to Jasmine and exhaust all dialogue options. Afterward, you’ll need to record information about her in your journal.
4. Press the “Supportive (?) Colleague” button on the left. The correct choice for Jasmine is “Not very friendly.”
5. Talk to Eiko and exhaust all dialogue options to obtain the second clue.
6. The “Details on what you saw” dialogue option will appear—select it to learn that the entity in the room was a shadow figure, obtaining the third clue.
7. Ask Eiko “When is the posted photo from?”—she will mention that the shadow figure disappeared when she took a picture. However, this is not a clue.
8. Enter Eiko’s information into your journal by pressing the “Famous Big Sis Figure” button on the left. The correct choice for Eiko is “Older uni friend.”

At this stage, you need to put on your glasses to uncover more clues.

1. Interact with the red limb-like objects in front of the apartment exit door on the far left. This will add the question: “Who was the shadow at the entrance?”
2. Approach Eiko and interact with the hooded ghostly figure. After clicking the first dialogue button, “Look closer” will appear. Select it to examine the shadow.
3. Take off your glasses and talk to Eiko. A new “What Eiko saw” dialogue option will appear, but this will not provide a clue.
4. Talk to Jasmine and select “I see a haunted spirit.”

After the conversation, select “Who was the shadow at the entrance?” on the left. Now, similar to the Cursed Chair case, you must form a hypothesis.

Now you need to form another hypothesis. Select “Where did the shadow come from?” in the left menu. Choose the following phrases to complete the hypothesis:

Now, you have a total of five clues. Your next objective is to find an entry point in Mio’s room:

1. Interact with the apartment entrance door on the far left. This will increase your clue count to six.
2. Click on the door that is left of the Mio and exhaust all options. This will increase your clue count to seven.
3. Move to the far right of the apartment and click on the curtain. Select “Think things over.” This will allow Azami to ask Eiko what the police questioned them about.
4. Exhaust both dialogue options with Eiko.
5. Then, talk to Mio and exhaust all dialogue options—she will conclude that the shadow figure couldn’t have entered through the window.
6. With this, you have found all the clues!

At this point, Director Meguriya will call Azami. This will start the Identification phase, where you must determine the nature of the urban myth.

Thanks to the Director, you’ll learn that this urban myth is The Man Under The Bed. However, the Director will inform you that this entity cannot be countered, and he will tell you to end the day. Then, you will see a cutscene about Mio, and the next day will begin.

Your first task while on the road with Jasmine is to find four posts on social media that are flaming Mio and Eiko-san:

1. First, select the first post that was shared, which is the post where Eiko uploaded a photo with Mio.
2. Then, click on the post that says, “Eiko is A_ko_5S right? She had quite the following.” You will notice that some letters in this post are moving. Put on your glasses and search for the keyword A_ko_5S.
3. Then, in the newly opened window, select the post that says, “She was on TV before as a college influencer. I remember seeing it.”
4. Return to the main page and click on the post that says, “I think I’ve seen her name before. I think she’s this Mio Sato.” Then, put on your glasses, and you will now be able to search for the keyword Mio Sato. Click on the main post that includes calendar-like image, and you will obtain a clue.
5. In the newly opened Mio Sato keyword window, select the comment that says, “Found Mio’s alt account: bloom30! 3 is Mittsu in Japanese, add the ‘O’ for MIO. How cute!” Then, put on your glasses to obtain the bloom30 keyword.
6. After that, select the image comment that says, “With a face like that, I’d do sugar dating too.” Put on your glasses, and you will obtain the sugar dating keyword.
7. Search for bloom30 and sugar dating in the keyword search bar, then select the last comment in the results.

After finding all four clues, the social media research will be complete. You will then return to Mio’s place again.

How To Complete The Second Day

This time, you will need to find eight clues about the connection between Mio and the anomaly.

1. Talk to Mio and select “I saw the post.” This will unlock the “the mysterious anomaly” button on the left. Click on it and choose “Mio” from the three options.
2. Continue talking to Mio and exhaust all dialogue options. Then, you will be able to ask her “What happened last night?” This will add a new objective: preventing the anomaly from reappearing.
3. Click on the bed and select “Examine.” Azami will find a creepy doll under the bed, obtaining the first clue.
4. Click on the bed again and select “Peek under bed.” This will give you another clue.
5. Talking to Eiko at this stage won’t give you any clues. Instead, talk to Mio again and select “Is this yours?” This will give you the third clue.
6. Since there’s nothing else you can do at this point, put on your glasses.
7. Interact with the ghost on the far right side of the room and exhaust all dialogue options to obtain the fourth clue.
8. Select the shadowy figure next to Mio and choose “Look closer.” This will give you the fifth clue.
9. After finishing the dialogue with it, interact with the shadowy figure lying on the ground near Mio. Exhaust all dialogue options, then remove your glasses.

Click on “Mio & anomaly – connection?” in the left menu. This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:

This will give you the sixth clue. Talk to Eiko and exhaust her dialogues. Put on your glasses and interact with the hooded shadow figure that stands next to Mio. Then, from the left menu, select “Prevent the anomaly from appearing.” This will bring up another hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:

Talk to Mio again and ask about her ex-boyfriend. Keep asking for more details. This will give you the seventh clue and reveal that her ex-boyfriend was a stalker. Select the bed again and choose “Fill-up.” This will complete the final clue. After this, you will see a scene showing what happened that night from Mio’s perspective.

How To Complete The Third Day

Eiko’s Place – Find Four Clues

The next day, you will go to Eiko’s place. After the dialogues, you will need to find four clues today.

1. First, exhaust all dialogue options with Eiko to obtain the first clue.
2. Then, go to the desk in front of the TV and go through all of its dialogue options.
3. This will allow you to ask Eiko “Who could the man be?” Next, ask her if this man could be Mio’s ex-boyfriend. This will give you the second clue.
4. Finally, go to Mio and exhaust all dialogue options with her to obtain all the necessary clues.

Mio’s Place – Find Seven Clues

After this, you will head to Mio’s Place, where you need to find seven clues. You can find three of them before putting on your glasses:

1. Interact with the shelves and go through all available options.
2. Click on the books on the floor and select “Check the floor.” Then, click on both “Examine books” options.
3. Talk to Jasmine and select “About the Red Room.”

Next, go to the left menu and click on “Think about fallen books.” This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:

This will give you the fourth clue. Now, put on your glasses. Interact with all the shadowy figures, then speak with Jasmine. Next, go to the left menu and click on “Whose shadow at entrance?” This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:

This will give you the sixth clue, leaving just one more to find. Interact with the one-eyed shadow figure near the door again and select “Look Again.” This will allow you to find the final clue.

After this, Director Meguriya will call you. During the conversation, he will ask you to spend the night at Mio’s apartment. Move towards to the bed and watch the events unfold. Later, Jasmine will come to you and inform you that Eiko’s apartment has also been splattered in red.

After the events, your social media research will begin again, and you will need to find three clues:

1. Click on Eiko’s main post with the picture to find the first clue.
2. In the first window, click on the bottom comment and use your glasses to obtain the DarkSpec News keyword.
3. Then search this keyword; in the newly opened screen, click on the comment: “Thought I saw security cam footage from that Miho (sp?) girl’s apartment. Use your glasses to obtain the Security Cam keyword.
4. Return to the main screen and click on the comment: “Poor Mio Sato getting dragged into this mess…” Then you will obtain Mio Sato keyword. Use your glasses and search for Mio Sato in the keyword search.
5. Search Mio Sato keyword. Click on the post “Maison Shin Nakamachi II, 4th floor, right?” and use your glasses to obtain the Maison Shin Nakamachi II keyword.
6. Use both Security Cam and Maison Shin Nakamachi II keywords to open a new screen. Click on the second picture post: “Hm looooks like an electrical contractor to me. This will give you the second clue.
7. Return to first window again, click on the post: “I saw some protector girl posting her support for bloom30. Bet she’s a fellow babe coming to the rescue!” Use your glasses to obtain the Protector Girl keyword. Reading the bottom comment here will grant you the third clue.

Once you collect all three clues, the social media research phase will be complete.

How To Complete The Dissolution Phase

Eiko’s Place – Find Four Clues

Afterward, you will arrive at Eiko’s apartment, where you need to find four clues:

1. Talk with Eiko and exhaust all dialagues; then talk with Jasmine to obtain the first clue.
2. Put on your glasses and examine the shadowy figure on the far left. Click on all available options to notice it is different from the others. This will give you the second clue.
3. Remove your glasses and talk to Eiko, asking her “About your work.”
4. Go to Eiko’s desk and go through all the available options to obtain the third clue.
5. Talk to Jasmine again and exhaust all dialogues. This will lead you to Mio’s apartment.

Mio’s Place – Find Three Clues

1. Talk to Mio and go through all dialogues. Then talk to Eiko and go through all dialogues.
2. Put on your glasses and examine the centipede-like shadow on the far right to obtain the first clue.
3. Interact with the shadowy figure under the bed, and Azami will see herself, adding a new objective about how the man entered the room.
4. Remove your glasses and ask Eiko about the ceiling space.

Click on “How did the man enter the room?” in the left menu and complete the Hypothesis with the following answers:

Put on your glasses and interact with the centipede-like shadow again. Select “Climb-up.” This will open the hatch above, and Azami will enter the ceiling space, where you need to find three more clues.

Ceiling Space – Find Three Clues

1. Interact with the first object near you and go through all dialogue options to obtain the first clue.
2. Put on your glasses and interact with the peeking shadow to obtain the second clue.
3. Interact with the shadow on the far left, then remove your glasses.
4. Click on the box-like object the shadow was interacting with. Select “Take a peek”, then “Search around.” You will find an electric company worker’s uniform, granting the final clue.

The Dissolution Phase

After you find the final clue on the ceiling space, as always, Director Meguriya will call you, leading to the Dissolution Phase. During the conversation with the Director, you need to answer the following questions correctly:

Once all this is done, you only need to read the remaining dialogues. Afterward, episode one will be complete.
