How To Solve The Doppelganger Case In Urban Myth Dissolution Center

In the fifth episode of Urban Myth Dissolution Center, things get even more complicated. Illuminae cards, Zimmers, and more start to connect with the cases, and beyond that, the case in this episode is quite different. A very wealthy CEO loses something and asks you to find it, but the fact that they don’t want to involve the police makes things even more complex.

In this visual novel, where no one is as they seem and no one can be trusted, the situation gets even stranger when a doppelganger comes into play. If you’re ready, a case that will bring you closer to solving all the mysteries awaits you.

This episode begins with dialogues between Director and Azami discussing the connection of Illuminae Cards. Meanwhile, Jasmine is secretly talking to someone unidentified, away from the others. The case you take on involves the theft of something important from a CEO. As always, your first task is social media research. You need to find three clues:

1. First, select the main post featuring skyscraper images and use the glasses. This will give you the “U-Tech” keyword.
2. Next, choose the comment that says, “This company has strong ties with government agencies and large corporations. They seem good at those connections.” to obtain the first clue.
3. Then, select the last comment and use the glasses. This will grant you the “Yuya Kurosawa” keyword.
4. Search using the “U-Tech” and “Yuya Kurosawa” keywords. On this page, select the comment starting with “So he was born rich!” to acquire the second clue.
5. On the same page where you searched for “U-Tech” and “Yuya Kurosawa”, select the last comment. This will give you the third and final clue.

If you select the comment on the main page containing the name Kaiba Ichiran, an urban myth related to this will be added to your journal.

CEO’s Office – Find Five Clues

After arriving at the office where Mr. Kurosawa and his secretary are, and meeting them, you will officially begin the case. Kurosawa-san will provide some information about the matter and mention that his secretary has recently started working. There are five clues you need to find in this office:

1. Talk to Kurosawa. He won’t give you any information and will tell you to speak with his secretary.
2. Talk to the secretary and ask her what happened two days ago. Then, ask the remaining question as well, but she will insist that nothing happened.
3. Move to the far right and examine Kurosawa’s desk. Azami will notice an Illuminae Card there, but the CEO will tell you to leave it alone.
4. Move to the far left and interact with the office door. Then, speak with the secretary, Kiyomoto, about this. This will give you the first clue.
5. Put on the glasses and go to the CEO’s desk. You will see two shadowy figures there. Interact with the one kneeling and rummaging through the desk, then exhaust all actions. This will give you the second clue.
6. Take off the glasses and interact with the desk again, selecting “Look closely.” Then, talk to Kurosawa and ask him about “the top drawer.”
7. Speak with the secretary, Kiyomoto, again and ask if the CEO took anything. Then, exhaust all remaining dialogues. This will give you the third clue.
8. Talk to Kurosawa again and ask him about the “red card-like object.” Then, exhaust all remaining dialogues. This will give you the fourth clue.
9. A new option, “Young tech millionaire,” will be added on the left. You will need to select the correct answer about Kurosawa-san. The correct choice is “A red card-like object.”

Speak with the secretary one last time. First, select the newly added “New secretary” option, and you will need to enter an entry into your journal about her. The correct answer is “recently.” Finally, you will need to form a hypothesis by selecting “Why are the stories different?” on the left:

Interact with the security camera on the ceiling to the right of the secretary and ask her about the security camera. Talk to Kurosawa again and ask him about the “security cam image.” This will give you the final clue.

Identification Phase

After completing your initial investigation, the Director will call you, triggering the Identification Phase, where you will determine the nature of this urban myth.

After the Identification Phase, it will be revealed that this urban myth is a Doppelganger.

After Mr. Kurosawa returns home, he will encounter his Doppelganger. Following this, Jasmine and Azami will head to his house, and Kurosawa-san will have called you. This marks the beginning of the Social Media Research Phase. You need to find three clues:

1. Select the bottom-most comment and use the glasses. This will give you the “meeting your doppelganger” keyword.
2. Search for “meeting your doppelganger.” On the resulting page, select the only comment with an image and use the glasses. This will give you the “Doppelganger Hallucination Theory” keyword.
3. On this same page, select the comment: “In urban myths, it’s said that Doppelgangers can’t talk to other people, or they can only appear in places related to the original person.” This will give you the first clue.
4. Search for “Doppelganger Hallucination Theory.” From the search results, select the second comment, which says: “I hear even seeing someone else’s Doppelganger can cost your life.” Use the glasses to obtain the “cost your life” keyword.
5. On the same search page, select the comment: “Our prophet, Tsutomu Kisaragi is not just a visionary, he holds the power to see the future! Society is on the brink of revolution! GR” Use the glasses to obtain the “prophet Tsutomu Kisaragi” keyword.
6. Select the last comment on the “Doppelganger Hallucination Theory” search page. This will give you the second clue.
7. Search for “prophet Tsutomu Kisaragi.” Click on all the comments on this page, and finally, select the last one. This will give you the third and final clue, completing the Social Media Research Phase.

If you select a comment on the “cost your life” search page containing the blue-highlighted word “Reptilian”, an urban myth about Reptilians will be added to your journal.

Similarly, selecting a comment containing the blue-highlighted phrase “Kaijin Answer” will add an urban myth entry about it to your journal.

Kurosawa’s Home – Find Six Clues

When you arrive at Kurosawa’s home, the first thing you’ll do is talk to him. Besides Kurosawa, there are two other people in the house. You need to find a total of six clues:

1. Go all the way to the right and talk to Kurosawa. Exhaust all dialogue options. You’ll learn that his secretary hasn’t shown up to work and isn’t responding to calls, obtaining the first clue.
2. Talk to Aika and go through all dialogue options. Click on “Stunner Girlfriend” on the left, and select the correct answer: “Because of messages from an impostor”.
3. Talk to Kurosawa again and ask him “about the messages.”
4. Talk to the housekeeper, Honda, and go through all dialogue options.
5. Talk to Jasmine and exhaust all dialogue options. Then, talk to Aika again and ask her “About the messages.” This will give you the second clue.
6. Put on your glasses and go all the way to the left. Interact with the shadowy figures of Kurosawa and his doppelganger.
7. Take off your glasses and talk to housekeeper Honda again. Click on “Housekeeper, house peeper” on the left. You’ll need to enter a journal entry about Honda. The correct answer is “recently.”
8. Go near Kurosawa and use your glasses. Interact with the shadowy figure in front of the computer, then the one in front of the safe. Take off your glasses and examine the computer. You’ll notice a USB cable that isn’t connected to anything. Then, interact with the safe and choose “examine.”

Talk to Kurosawa and ask him “about the safe.” He will tell you to check it and give you the code. Interact with the safe and select “check the contents” to obtain another clue.

Click on “The Doppelganger’s goal?” on the left. You’ll need to form a hypothesis. Completing this hypothesis will grant you the fourth clue.

Talk to Aika and ask her “About the HDD.” Then, talk to Kurosawa and ask him about the HDD, along with the remaining questions. This will give you the fifth clue.

Finally, talk to housekeeper Honda to obtain the last clue. After these events, Jasmine and Azami will leave Kurosawa’s house, and Azami will get out of the car to head home. At this point, keep moving all the way to the right to witness a strange event, which will mark the end of the day.

Server Room – Find Seven Clues

After Azami sees her own doppelganger, you will arrive at the server room. Here, besides Kurosawa, there will be new people to talk to. You need to find a total of seven clues:

1. Talk to Jasmine first, then talk to Kurosawa and exhaust all dialogue options. This will give you the first clue.
2. Talk to the person to the right of Kurosawa—this is Nakata. Go through all his dialogue options.
3. Talk to the security guard, Inoue, and exhaust all dialogue options. Then, put on your glasses and interact with the shadowy figure of the doppelganger to the left of the security guard.
4. Talk to the security guard again and ask him “Anything unusual about the CEO?” This will unlock “Reliable security guard” on the left. Click on it and choose “Around midnight” as the correct answer.
5. Talk to Nakata again and ask him the newly unlocked question. This will give you the second clue.
6. Put on your glasses and interact with the shadowy figure next to Kurosawa. Complete all actions. Take off your glasses, then interact with the shelf where the shadowy figure was standing and choose “Examine”. Azami will find Kurosawa’s missing fountain pen, obtaining the third clue.
7. Talk to Kurosawa again and inform him about the pen. This will give you the fourth clue.
8. Put on your glasses again. Interact with the shadowy figure near the server cabinet to Nakata’s right. Take off your glasses, then select the server cabinet and choose “Examine”.
9. Talk to Nakata again and ask him what’s inside the server. This will unlock “Ace Engineer” on the left. Click on it and select the correct answer: “Server maintenance”.

Talk to Kurosawa and ask him about the server’s contents. Then, talk to Nakata again and select “Kurosawa-san gave permission” to obtain the fifth clue. Go all the way to the right side of the room and put on your glasses. Interact with the shadowy figure in front of a server cabinet and choose “Examine”.

Take off your glasses, then interact with the server cabinet where the shadowy figure was standing. Talk to Nakata again about the server cabinet to obtain the sixth clue. Talk to Jasmine and exhaust all dialogue options. This will unlock “What data is the anomaly after?” on the left. Click on it and solve the hypothesis:

Talk to Jasmine again after solving the hypothesis. Then, talk to Kurosawa and go through all the new dialogue options. Finally, talk to Jasmine one last time to obtain the seventh clue. Once this is done, your server room investigation will be complete.

After the events, Azami will head to the Urban Myth Dissolution Center, and the Director will still be missing. The next day, while traveling with Jasmine, you will need to research Seiji Kurosawa. In this social media research phase, you need to find four clues.

1. First, select the main post at the top and use the glasses. This will give you the “Yuya Kurosawa” keyword.
2. Next, select the sentence starting with, “Kurosawa’s father, Seiji Kurosawa, is the Security Director of the National Police Agency,” and use the glasses. This will give you the “Director Seiji Kurosawa” keyword.
3. Finally, select the comment at the very bottom and use the glasses. This will give you the “scandals” keyword.
4. Next, search using the “Yuya Kurosawa” and “Director Seiji Kurosawa” keywords. Select the main post that has Seiji Kurosawa’s photo, and this will give you the first clue.
5. Then, search using the “Yuya Kurosawa” and “scandals” keywords. On this page, select the comment: “But if you ask the staff at the restaurants he goes to, everyone has a good impression of him. Like he’s very humble and sweet.” This will give you the second clue.
6. Next, search using the “Director Seiji Kurosawa” and “scandals” keywords. Select the last comment and use the glasses. This will give you the “Zimmer activity” keyword.
7. Then, search using the “Director Seiji Kurosawa” and “Zimmer activity” keywords together. Select the main post with Seiji Kurosawa’s photo. This will give you the third clue.
8. Finally, if you select the last comment on the page where you searched for “Director Seiji Kurosawa” and “Zimmer activity” keywords, you will get the last clue.

If you select the comment containing the phrase fake policemen (highlighted in blue) on the page where you searched Yuya Kurosawa and scandals keywords, an urban myth entry about fake policemen will be added to your journal.

Seiji Kurosawa’s House – Find Five Clues

After the social media research phase, Azami and Jasmine will arrive at Seiji Kurosawa’s house. Here, you need to find five clues.

1. First, speak with Kurosawa Jr. and exhaust all the dialogues.
2. Next, speak with his father, Seiji, and exhaust all the dialogues. This will give you the first clue. Click on “Head of police” on the left side, and the correct answer about Seiji is “VIP security within Japan.”
3. Put on your glasses and interact with the shadowy figure between Jasmine and Kurosawa Jr. After that, speak with Seiji. This will give you the second clue.
4. Put on your glasses again, then interact with the shadowy figure to the right of Kurosawa Jr., looking at the painting. Afterward, take off your glasses and select the painting, then choose “look closer.”
5. Speak with Seiji Kurosawa again and ask him “about the painting.” This will give you the third clue.
6. Next, put on your glasses and exhaust all options with the shadowy figure standing in front of the safe. Afterward, take off your glasses and interact with the safe.
7. Then, put on your glasses again and interact with the shadowy figure to the left of Seiji Kurosawa, holding something like a knife, and exhaust all actions. Take off your glasses and interact with the trophy shelf, selecting “the bottom of the trophy.” You will see that the number 9630 is written there.

Interact with the safe again and select “input the 4-digit number.” Azami will see an empty box. Click on “the anomaly’s intent” on the left side, and you will need to complete a hypothesis.

Afterward, first speak with Seiji Kurosawa, then speak with Jasmine and say “Something was stolen!” and exhaust the remaining dialogues. Then, speak with Seiji Kurosawa again and ask him about the device.

Next, speak with Kurosawa Jr. again. Then, speak with Jasmine and say “about the device…” and select the new dialogue option. This will add “Where did the device in the safe go?” on the left. Click on it, and you will need to make one last hypothesis.

After completing the hypothesis, you will obtain the final clue.

After this, the Director, who has been absent for a long time, will call Azami. This will trigger the Dissolution Phase, which is necessary to close the case. Therefore, you need to answer some questions:
