Looking to grow some plants in No Man’s Sky? Here’s the full rundown!
Finding A Dissonant Planet
To find a Crystallised Heart, you must find and fight Corrupted Sentinels. To find Corrupted Sentinels, you must locate a Dissonant Planet found within a Dissonant System.
To see Dissonant Systems in the Galaxy Map, your ship must be equipped with a Conflict Scanner.
Go to the Galaxy Map and search for a system that’s labeled ‘Dissonant.’ Warp to this system and then scan each planet until you locate one with the tag ‘Dissonance Detected.’ This is a Dissonant Planet that will contain Corrupted Sentinels. You’ll know you’re on a Dissonant Planet by the purple Atlantideum Crystal deposits that litter the planet’s surface.
How To Find A Corrupted Sentinel Quadruped
Once you’ve landed on the planet’s surface, it’s time to search for Corrupted Sentinels. These Sentinels are easily identified by the purple crystals growing out of their bodies.
Like normal Sentinels, Corrupted Sentinels will appear as a red Sentinel icon on your visor. Travel the planet’s surface until you see this icon, and then zero in on the Corrupted Sentinel’s location.
It might take a few minutes to locate a Corrupted Sentinel, depending on your luck. If you can’t find one, try searching for a Dissonance Resonator (the large insectile robots that are also found on Dissonant Planets). These Dissonance Resonators are always guarded by Corrupted Sentinels.
Once you’ve located a Corrupted Sentinel, attack it to begin a combat sequence. The first two waves of Sentinels will only contain Corrupted Sentinel Drones, but the third wave will begin sending Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds. Continue to destroy Sentinel Drones until you reach the third wave denoted by the third Sentinel Alert star in the upper-right corner of your HUD.

You only get one life in No Man’s Sky’s permadeath mode, so make it count.
Tips For Fighting The Corrupted Sentinel Quadruped
Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds are tough enemies. They can spew fire and pounce on Travelers that get too close. They can also summon the Quadruped Swarm, which are numerous smaller versions of the Quadruped. Finally, Corrupted Quadrupeds can become invisible for between 2-5 seconds, allowing them to ambush you in the heat of battle.
Although tough, Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds are not invincible. They are best destroyed with high-damage weapons such as the Scatter Blaster of Plasma Launcher. As these fights typically occur at close range, weapons like the Blaze Javelin and Neutron Cannon are less effective but can still take down a Quadruped.
Despite their size, Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds can be difficult to hit as they dodge from side to side. Try using the Paralysis Mortal if you find Quadrupeds difficult to hit.
Easily their most dangerous attack is the flamethrower. This can deal exceptional damage to any Travelers foolish enough to engage the Quadruped at point-blank range. If a Quadruped pounces on you, run a short distance away to avoid getting struck by the flamethrower attack.
Although annoying, the Quadruped Swarm is generally less dangerous than the Corrupted Sentinel Quadruped itself. Prioritize destroying the Quadruped first before engaging the smaller versions of the larger robot.
