The Sims 4: Blast From the Past Week 1 Quests
This guide will show players how they can complete every Week 1 Quest in the Blast From the Past event in The Sims 4.
Once again, players will have to visit the Library, talk to Emit, and play The Sims Archives to find more clues about what’s going on. This guide will help players get through every single quest so they can finish them as quickly as possible and unlock all of the free goodies.
Players can follow these tips to easily complete the Echoes of Time Quests for Week 2 of the Blast From the Past event.
Read the History of Time Travel at a Library
To complete this quest, gamers must open The Sims 4 world map and travel to a Library. Not all worlds have Library buildings, but Willow Creek has one on the nortwestern part of the map – this is the base game world, so everyone has access to it.
If players interact with a bookshelf at the Library, there will be an option to read “History of Time Travel”. Here, they will read about the theory that books, games, and video games could be a way to travel through time.
Experience the Past By Playing The Sims Archives Vol. 2
Players should take advantage of the computers while at the Library, as the next quest requires them to play The Sims Archives once again. Gamers will find the option to play The Sims Archives in The Sims 4 by interacting with a computer and selecting the Play Game tab.
Study a Historical Display at a Museum
Next, players have head to the Museum. If they’re in Willow Creek, there is one on the same street as the Library. They can study any piece of art at the Museum to complete this quest. Therefore, to study a History Display in The Sims 4, all gamers have to do is interact with an artpiece and select View.
Ask an Elder About the Shard
To quickly find an Elder in The Sims 4, gamers can open their Relationship panel and search through their contacts. If they find one, they should invite them over to hang out on the same lot and then pop the question.
Alternatively, if the player’s Sim is an elder themselves, they can switch control over to another household member and perform the task on the player’s own Sim.
Sims who aren’t acquainted with elder Sims might want to visit a community lot and hang around until an older Sim walks by.
Research the Shards of Time
The elder will reveal that in the good ol’ days, people thought the shards were an echo from the past and could be used to time travel. After this revelation, players will have to continue their research on the computer.
To research the Shards of Time in The Sims 4, players must interact with a computer, select the Web option, then enter the Research category, and select Research Shards of Time.
Search Objects for Shards (3)
The research will make it clear that the legends are real, and these echoes of the past can be found just about everywhere. Therefore, players’ next task is to search objects to find them.
Gamers must interact with random objects and select the “Search for Shard of Time” option until they find three of them.
Not every object works for this quest. The Willow Creek Archive Library has tons of bookshelves, which can all be investigate. On top of this, gamers can search the same object as many times as they want until a shard is found.
Show Emit the Shards of Time
Similarly to the Blast From the Past Week 1 Quests, gamers must return to Emit at Magnolia Blossom park in Wilow Creek. Here, they must show Emit the shards that they found, and he will reveal what the next step of the adventure will be.
Here is how to complete second part of this week’s quests:
Read Theoretical Electronics at a Library
Once again, players have to return to the Library, where they must interact with a bookshelf so they can read a book called “Theoretical Electronics”.
Repair Something while Handiness Level 2 or Higher
While completing the first set of quests, gamers received the Handiness Vol 1: Try Not to Die! book, and if not, they purchase it at any bookshelf. Either way, gamers can read it and quickly increase their Handiness Skill if they’re not Level 2 yet.
If there isn’t anything broken nearby, players can interact with a toilet and select the Prank option, which will break it the next time it is used. They can then use the toilet to force it to break and repair it right after.
Exercise Your Mind While Level 2 or Higher in Logic
To complete this quest, gamers must participate in any activity that builds the Logic Skill. This means, using the telescope, playing chest, or reading a Logic Skill book.
Collect Ironyum and Plathinum
These are two separate quests, but they can be completed the same way. Similarly to the Week 1 quests, gamers can head to Foundry Cove in Willow Creek or the Desert Bloom park in Oasis Spring to easily find rocks and dig them up to collect these materials.
Obtain an Electronic Upgrade Part
There are several ways to get Electronic Upgrade Parts in The Sims 4; gamers can repair broken electronic objects, search dumpster, search rocks, or simply order it online via the Order option on the computer.
Build the Time Travel Component
To complete this week’s quest, gamers will have to build the Time Travel Component. They will be able to do it as long as they have completed all of the necessary quests and meet these requirements:
- Level 2 of the Handiness Skill
- Level 2 of the Logic Skill
- 1 Ironyum
- 1 Plathinum
- 1 Electronic Upgrade Part
- 1 Shard of Time
To build the Time Travel Component in The Sims 4, gamers have to open their inventory, interact with one of the materials required for the machine, and select “Build Time Travel Component”.
