Not much is known about Cyrene in Honkai: Star Rail, except for her brief appearances in the short cinematic, “Amphoreus’ Saga of Heroes,” and Phainon’s flashback at the end of the Version 3.0 story mission. It’s theorized that she is Phainon’s childhood friend from Aedes Elysiae, who was murdered before the events of Honkai: Star Rail. Many fans also pointed out that Cyrene resembles Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd, possibly joining the long list of crossover characters in Honkai: Star Rail‘s roster.

Big Honkai: Star Rail Buffs Could Be on the Way
HoYoverse indicates some upcoming changes to Honkai: Star Rail, including some buffs potentially being added to a few beloved characters.
While it’s been teased that the Chrysos Heirs will become playable throughout the duration of the Amphoreus arc, there’s no indication yet about Cyrene being playable. But a new leak from Uncle Jtt5CPW claims that Cyrene will allegedly be the sole 5-star banner character in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.7, which will land around December. It’s said that the character will be an Ice-type Remembrance character, similar to Trailblazer’s new form. No other details were revealed, and it’s still subject to change in the next few months.
Honkai: Star Rail’s Cyrene May Be the Last Amphoreus Character
Honkai: Star Rail devs previously shared that the Amphoreus arc would last until Version 3.7, making it the longest main story mission in the game so far. Considering that the eight known Chrysos Heirs might be released in pairs in the next few months, it’s possible that Cyrene might be the last Amphoreus character to be released, if the leak is reliable. The planet is isolated from the rest of the outside world, so it’s likely that Honkai: Star Rail might not introduce non-Amphoreus characters until the arc ends.
Meanwhile, many Honkai: Star Rail fans were skeptical of the leak, mostly because it’s still a while before Version 3.7 drops. Some also expressed disappointment about the fact that there’s no news yet about March 7th’s rumored 5-star form, and that they hope she would be an Ice-type Remembrance character too.
Given that Amphoreus has so much mystery surrounding it, Honkai: Star Rail fans are definitely in for a ride as the story progresses. More Chrysos Heirs will likely be in the spotlight, especially with Honkai: Star Rail already releasing new characters like Castorice, Tribbie, and Mydei soon, which many players are looking forward to.
