Mizuki joins the Genshin Impact roster as a character from Inazuma, debuting amidst a wave of Natlan releases. While players may already be familiar with Anemo catalyst users like Sucrose, Wanderer, or Heizou, Mizuki’s role differs significantly. Instead of being a full-fledged support or a traditional DPS, she functions as an

on-field Swirl driver
, making her playstyle unique among her Anemo counterparts. While her usefulness may not be too apparent for many instances, especially in

content like Imaginarium Theater
, players might find good use of her.

Given that Mizuki will become part of the standard banner after her limited run, some players may question whether she’s worth a significant investment. However, for those who enjoy her design and playstyle, her constellations offer notable improvements that can enhance her performance. Players looking to make Mizuki a staple in their team compositions should carefully consider what her constellations bring before deciding whether to pull for multiple copies in Genshin Impact.

Are Mizuki Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?

genshin impact banner characters version 5.4

Since Mizuki is a standard banner character, even though obtaining her constellations may take time, it makes it generally more efficient to save resources for future limited characters. Fortunately, she functions well even at C0, so players can gradually acquire her constellations over time without feeling pressured to pull immediately.

For those who want to invest in her constellations right away, C1 is a solid stopping point, offering noticeable improvements to her kit. Additionally, C2 can be valuable for specific team compositions, as will be explained further. However, even if C1 is a tempting option, her signature weapon should take priority over constellations. Not only does it synergize well with Mizuki by providing more benefits for her than her constellations, but it also has practical applications for other

support characters like Sucrose
, making it a versatile investment despite its somewhat niche design.

C1 – In Mist-Like Waters

genshin impact mizuki version 5.4 livestream

Effect

When Yumemizuki Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, she will continuously apply the “Twenty-Three Nights’ Awaiting” effect to nearby opponents for 3s every 3.5s. When an opponent is affected by Anemo DMG-triggered Swirl reactions while the aforementioned effect is active, the effect will be canceled and this Swirl instance has its DMG against this opponent increased by 900% of Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery.

Importance

Priority

Mizuki’s first constellation (C1) enhances her damage output by increasing the effectiveness of her Anemo Swirls. This is achieved through a debuff applied to enemies, making them take increased Swirl damage. As a result, C1 provides a straightforward DPS boost, making it a valuable constellation for players who want to maximize Mizuki’s personal damage rather than focusing on team-wide utility.

Since her next major self-damage boost doesn’t come until C6, C1 stands out as an early power spike, offering a solid increase to her Swirl-based playstyle without requiring heavy constellation investment.

C2 – Your Echo I Meet in Dreams

The key visual for Genshin Impact's Version 5.4 showing Mizuki, Yae Miko, and Raiden Shogun.

Effect

When entering the Dreamdrifter state, every Elemental Mastery point Yumemizuki Mizuki has will increase all nearby party members’ Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro DMG Bonuses by 0.04% until the Dreamdrifter state ends.

Importance

High

Mizuki’s second constellation (C2) introduces a support utility by granting massive amounts of Elemental DMG Bonuses to allies for Swirlable elements (Electro, Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo). This buff lasts up to 10 seconds within a 15-second window, making it

comparable to Kazuha
’s passive ability, though with a key difference—Mizuki must remain on-field for the buff to stay active.

Because of this on-field requirement, C2’s value depends heavily on team composition. It works best with off-field DPS characters who don’t rely on snapshotting buffs, such as Furina or Yae Miko, who can consistently benefit from the increased Elemental DMG. However,, whose Pyronado snapshots buffs at cast, this constellation provides little to no advantage. In summary, C2 is worth considering for teams with highly invested off-field DPS units, but its situational nature makes it less universally valuable than her first constellation.

C4 – Buds Warm Lucid Springs

Genshin Impact Mizuki beta changes

Effect

Picking up a Yumemi Style Special Snack from the Elemental Burst Anraku Secret Spring Therapy will both deal DMG and heal, and will restore 5 Energy to Yumemizuki Mizuki. Energy can be restored this way 4 times per Anraku Secret Spring Therapy duration.

Importance

Low

Mizuki’s Elemental Burst provides two possible effects depending on the HP percentage of the character who picks up the snack. If their HP is above 70%, the snack deals extra Swirl DMG, increasing Mizuki’s damage output. On the other hand, of their HP is below 70%, the snack heals them instead. Because of this threshold, players must be mindful of who picks up the snack and when, especially in teams that require frequent healing.

However, her fourth constellation (C4) removes this HP condition, allowing her snacks to always heal while also granting Mizuki additional Energy. This improves her Burst uptime and makes her healing more consistent. For teams relying on Mizuki as the solo healer—

especially in Furina teams
that require frequent HP management—this constellation offers valuable utility. However, if the team already includes a dedicated healer, C4 becomes less impactful, as the healing component may go to waste either way.

C6 – The Heart Lingers Long

Effect

While Yumemizuki Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, Swirl DMG dealt by nearby party members can Crit, with CRIT Rate fixed at 30%, and CRIT DMG fixed at 100%.

Importance

High

Mizuki’s final constellation provides another significant boost to her Swirl damage by allowing Swirls to critically hit. This greatly enhances her damage potential, though it comes with some inconsistency due to the fixed critical mechanics. Specifically, Swirls will have a 30% chance to crit and deal 100% increased critical damage, but because this effect has a predetermined Crit Rate and Crit DMG multiplier, at least players do not need to invest in critical stats and can instead fully prioritize Elemental Mastery for maximum damage output.

While the inconsistent activation of critical hits may reduce its overall reliability, the constellation’s synergy with her first constellation helps mitigate this issue. Since her C1 applies a debuff that increases Swirl damage against affected enemies, combining it with C6 allows Mizuki to achieve even higher burst damage spikes, making her a much stronger on-field Swirl DPS in compositions that can take full advantage of her Swirl capabilities.
