Yumemizuki Mizuki is the latest character to be released in Genshin Impact. A 5-star Anemo DPS with a focus on maximizing damage output via Swirl, Mizuki has a straightforward and easy-to-use kit which should make her a solid investment for most players.

Since Mizuki will be in the Standard Banner after the conclusion of 5.4, she can always be a character you can try and pull for in the future. As with any character, equipping the right weapon will unlock Mizuki’s full potential and turn her into a reliable damage dealer. As Mizuki requires a lot of Elemental Mastery to increase her damage numbers, her selection of viable weapons is pretty limited.

Mappa Mare
- Primary Stat (Level 90): 565 Base ATK
- Secondary Stat (Level 90): 110 Elemental Mastery
- Unique Effect (R5): Triggering an Elemental Reaction grants a 16% Elemental DMG bonus for 10 seconds. This effect has a maximum of two stacks.
Mappa Mare is the best F2P option for Mizuki in Genshin Impact. While it provides the lowest Elemental Mastery in the secondary stat compared to the other weapons on the list, it also boasts the highest Base ATK and features a unique effect that further increases Mizuki’s raw damage output.
The loss in Elemental Mastery can be made up by opting for Elemental Mastery artifacts, making Mappa Mare a solid choice if you do not have access to weapons locked behind the gacha system.

Starcaller’s Watch
- Primary Stat (Level 90): 542 Base ATK
- Secondary Stat (Level 90): 265 Elemental Mastery
- Unique Effect: Increases Elemental Mastery by 100. Gain the “Mirror of Night” effect within 15 seconds after the equipping character creates a shield. This effect enables the active party member to deal 28% increased DMG to nearby opponents. The “Mirror of Night” effect happens once every 14 seconds.
Starcaller’s Watch, the signature weapon of Citlali, is the least powerful 5-star weapon for Mizuki, purely because the majority of its unique effect is wasted. As Mizuki is not a shield-based character, the Mirror of Night effect becomes essentially useless and gatekeeps Mizuki from doing more damage.
However, the base Elemental Mastery and the additional 100 provided by the unique effect makes it a viable option, since Mizuki is heavily reliant on maxing out her Elemental Mastery. Therefore, the lost damage output from the Mirror of Night effect can be made up with increased Elemental Mastery compared to most weapons.

Sacrificial Fragments
- Primary Stat (Level 90): 454 Base ATK
- Secondary Stat (Level 90): 221 Elemental Mastery
- Unique Effect (R5): After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has an 80% chance to end its own CD. This effect can only occur once every 16 seconds.
Sacrificial Fragments is one of the best 4-star weapons in Genshin Impact, and Mizuki makes good use of it, as it provides a lot of Elemental Mastery through its secondary stat. Its unique effect is also very useful to help Mizuki have more uptime on-field.
Having a high chance to refresh Mizuki’s Elemental Skill allows her to increase the duration of the Dreamdrifter State, where the majority of her damage comes from. Using the Elemental Skill again right before the end of the Dreamdrifter State allows Mizuki to increase her Swirl application and overall damage output.
2
A Thousand Floating Dreams
- Primary Stat (Level 90): 542 Base ATK
- Secondary Stat (Level 90): 265 Elemental Mastery
- Unique Effect: Party members other than the equipping character will provide the equipping character with buffs based on whether their Elemental Type is the same as the latter or not. If their Elemental Types are the same, increase Elemental Mastery by 32. If not, increase the equipping character’s DMG Bonus from their Elemental Type by 10%. Each of the aforementioned effects can have up to 3 stacks. Additionally, all nearby party members other than the equipping character will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 40. Multiple such effects from multiple such weapons can stack.
A Thousand Floating Dreams, which is Nahida’s signature weapon, is another good option for Mizuki if you have it available in your inventory. The high base Elemental Mastery it provides cannot be overlooked, and it is slightly amplified by the unique effect.
Having extra Elemental Mastery in a double Anemo comp, or increased damage output in a standard comp are both helpful outcomes for Mizuki. While the unique effect is not the best, the Elemental Mastery and Base ATK this weapon provides makes it a good option to run if you have access to it.

Knowing the schedule for some of Genshin Impact’s Domains can help players collect certain items relatively painlessly.
1
Sunny Morning Sleep-in
- Primary Stat (Level 90): 542 Base ATK
- Secondary Stat (Level 90): 265 Elemental Mastery
- Unique Effect: Elemental Mastery increases by 120 for 6 seconds after triggering Swirl. Elemental Mastery increases by 96 for 9 seconds after the wielder’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent. Elemental Mastery increases by 32 for 30 seconds after the wielder’s Elemental Burst hits an opponent.
To no one’s surprise, the best weapon for Mizuki in Genshin Impact is her signature weapon, Sunny Morning Sleep-in. Apart from the 265 Elemental Mastery it provides, as it is a 5-star weapon, the additional 248 Elemental Mastery from the combined effects of its passive make this weapon the best choice for Mizuki by a mile.
This weapon significantly increases Mizuki’s damage output and the buffs provided by the unique effect lasts long enough for Mizuki to get most of her damage out. This weapon also synergizes pretty well with any Catalyst user that needs Elemental Mastery, making it a worthwhile option to pull even if you do not plan to get Mizuki.
