We already know that the next big content update for World Of Warcraft – the first since the launch of The War Within last year – will be a goblin-themed extravaganza with a new raid experience, warring cartels, and a drifting vehicle that’ll let you live out your Fast and Furious fantasies. We also know that Season 2 will be arriving around the same time too. However, neither update has had a firm place on our calendars – until now. Blizzard has just locked in dates for both of these significant moments, and WoW’s Undermined update and The War Within Season 2 are not far away at all.
Let’s start with Undermined, which is first up in the MMORPG’s schedule and arriving in a couple of weeks’ time. This new update for World of Warcraft sends you deep beneath the surface to the eponymous capital city of the goblins, which is embroiled in a tense four-way standoff between rival cartels. “A secret fifth cartel waits in the wings” too, Blizzard has teased, but we know absolutely nothing about them so far.
The four factions we do know the identities of – Bilgewater, Steamwheedle, Blackwater, and the Venture Company – will each have a separate reputation system that you can increase by completing side hustles for them. The more tasks you complete, and the more your reputation rises, the more rewards you’ll unlock.
Undermine is a big place, though, with a network of streets that would actually make an ideal race track. Thankfully, the goblins have you covered, as a new, customizable, and driftable vehicle – the G-99 Breakneck – is available to unlock.
The Undermined update will also add in a new PvP zone, four fresh campsites, and much more. However, when it comes to the new raid, you’ll have to wait a few days longer, as that will arrive with Season 2 of The War Within. When Season 2 goes live, so too will the first stage of the Liberation of Undermine raid, which contains eight new bosses in total.
World of Warcraft’s Undermined update drops on Wednesday, February 26, while Season 2 and the Liberation of Undermine raid will kick off on Wednesday, March 5.
