Wearing the correct clothes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is vital. While getting the best armour will help you survive in combat and equipping noble gear will allow you to pass skill checks easily, shoes are an important part of putting together an outfit. Certain shoes help you stay quiet when creeping around restricted areas.

While getting armour from Armourers and swords from Weaponsmiths is pretty obvious, it’s not as obvious where you need to go to get a pair of shoes. You’ll also want to repair them regularly to protect Henry’s feet.

How To Get Shoes

To get a pair of shoes, your most reliable option is to head to a Cobbler. They’re indicated by a red spike-like icon on the map and will usually be found in large towns and villages.

There are a few in Kuttenberg city, but you can also find one in Trosky Castle in the Trosky region. Head there and speak to Cobbler Matthew to buy some shoes. Thankfully, they’re not expensive, costing no more than 25 Groschen if you haggle over the price.

Once you have some shoes, head into your inventory and equip them to the outfit you need them to be a part of.

When you speak to Matthew, you’ll notice that he’s called Saddler Matthew, even though he’s called a Cobbler on the map. Thankfully, he sells both shoes and gear for your horse.

You do have an alternative option for getting shoes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Most NPCs will be wearing them, so if you have the chance to loot a dead body – whether it be a guard, bandit, or random innocent villager – you can take their shoes and wear them. Just make sure you’re not caught wearing them by the law.

However, you’ll have to repair your shoes from time to time. You can buy new ones if you like, or you can return to any Cobbler to have them repaired.

When you speak to the merchant, choose the Repair option and select the pair of shoes you want to repair. Then, pay for the service and be on your way. Your shoes will now be as good as new.

Be sure to haggle for the repair fee, just as you would when you buy anything in the game.
