Pre-releases for Pokemon TCG Destined Rivals will take place from Saturday, May 17 to Sunday, May 25, if the leak is accurate. The week-long window gives Pokemon TCG fans a head-start before the full retail release on May 30. If patterns involving past Pokemon TCG leaks continue, the Pokemon Company will likely reveal more details about the set in the next few months.

Before the leak surfaced, fans expected the set name to reference Team Rocket. However, the new set combines modern English sets and multiple Japanese sources, so a Team Rocket set name may potentially confuse Pokemon TCG fans. As a result, fans believe the rumored set name was changed to Destined Rivals in order to avoid confusion among fans around the world.

Before Destined Rivals releases, fans can test their Pokemon TCG skills at local in-store Play Pokemon events featuring Prize Pack Series Six cards starting February 14. Fans can get the new Prize Packs by attending these tournaments at participating retail locations. The Prize Pack includes Fezandipiti ex, Terapagos ex, Unfair Stamp, Ogre’s Mask, and Area Zero Underdepths, to name a few.
