Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has a lot of ways for players to spend their hard-earned Groschen. No matter where you’re at in the game, you’ll always be spending just as much as what’s coming in, so you’ll want to make sure you’re getting the best price wherever you can.

When looking at items in your inventory, you’ll see they have a value that will usually be a lot higher than what you can sell them for. Here are a few ways of getting prices closer to that value amount when selling, along with how to haggle to always get the best price.

Conspicuousness is a major part of stealth in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2; here’s how to change it and exactly what it does.

How To Get Better Prices In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

One of the biggest factors when determining the prices you get when buying or selling things is your Reputation with the merchants of that area. If you’re new or have a bad reputation, they will usually buy your items for dirt cheap and way oversell you on even common items. Having a good reputation is fairly easy, especially with merchants, as long as you don’t commit crimes against them, you’ll usually stay in the upper 90s.

Beyond reputation, leveling up your Speech stat will help give you access to a few perks that can be purchased that will help in either buying, selling, or haggling. Haggling is also a great way to get a better price when buying or selling, just be sure not to let it negatively affect your reputation.

You’ll rarely get the true value of something when selling it without haggling, usually reaching 75%-80% of something’s value.

While merchants have many items available in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there are some items players shouldn’t waste money on.

How To Haggle In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Haggling can be done when buying or selling items at a merchant by holding down the close deal button instead of just pressing it when you have items in your cart. The following bar that appears will let you raise or lower the price of the transaction, either in your favor or theirs. After offering a new price, the merchant can either accept or counter with a different amount, usually though still in your favor above or below market price.

Each failure to come to an agreement will lower the merchant’s patience, and once it runs out, you’ll lose reputation, and you won’t be able to haggle anymore. Here are some tips to remember when haggling:

  • The amount of patience lost is determined by how big the difference in cost you asked for.
  • Closing out of the haggling menu without striking a deal will lower patience greatly.
  • Offering a transaction in the merchant’s favor will increase reputation with merchants, leading to easier haggles in the future.
  • There are multiple speech perks that make haggling easier.
  • Reputation and general appearance greatly help you succeed in haggling.
