Reputation can be raised and lowered through a lot of different things in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Reputation will greatly play a role in how easy it is for you to simply exist in a town, as places to sleep, eat, and trade will be expensive to use, if you can use them at all.

What Do Indulgence Boxes Do In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Indulgence Boxes can be found in a few major cities and castles, usually near the Scribe of that town. Indulgence Boxes are an easy way to boost your reputation in an area by paying a certain amount of Groschens depending on what your current reputation is. This alone won’t remove a Wanted status, but it can help you quickly repair any rifts you’ve caused in a town if you’re trying to go clean or set yourself up for another heist.
Indulgence Boxes can be used at any time, and the game won’t stop you from paying them if your reputation is already very high, so you’ll want to check your reputation first before ever paying one. You can see your reputation in every region by going to the Player section of the main menu and tabbing over to Reputation. While the face will give you a general idea of your reputation, you can also see the exact number along the bottom right of the screen when hovering over a specific region and people of that region.

While Indulgence Boxes offer an easy way to boost your reputation, they can be very expensive if your reputation is very low. There are a few easy ways to boost your reputation no matter how bad it is, and trading with merchants at a loss will end up costing less overall than paying an Indulgence Box. It’s best to save these boxes for when you need to complete a story mission in a town with one, and you don’t want to take the small steps in boosting reputation, and you have some money to burn. Other ways to boost reputation include:
- Go on a pilgrimage.
- Be nice to random townspeople in conversations.
- Haggle with merchants at a loss.
- Complete side quests.
