There are a lot of quests that you can complete in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Once you visit the other areas of the game and befriend the characters, you may start to feel like too many quests are building up. On top of this, your quest log will also display quests that you haven’t unlocked yet.

One quest that you can eventually complete is Revive the Oasis. This is a fairly straightforward quest that greatly changes the landscape of Gemstone Mountain. Additionally, this quest is required to complete a lot of later content. Here, you can learn how to complete Revive the Oasis in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
How To Unlock Revive The Oasis
There are several other requirements that you need to complete before taking on Revive the Oasis. Ultimately, you’ll need to complete Dessert-ed Boat and Parched, as well as increase your friendship with My Melody to level 11.
These two quests have their own prerequisites, so we’ve listed these out below.

Requirements for Dessert-ed Boat:
- Level 4 Friendship with Pompompurin
- Complete Power Up The Gate (this just requires level 1 friendship with Chococat)

Requirements for Parched:
- Complete Dessert-ed Boat
- Complete Open the Nature Preserve
- Complete Meet the Island Beings
Once these two main quests have been completed and you reach level 11 with My Melody, you can begin Revive the Oasis.
How To Start Revive The Oasis
The first step in this quest is to meet Keroppi, who can be found near the Oasis in Mount Gemstone. His exact location is marked by the player icon on the map above. This is on a bridge at the top end of the valley-like area where Pompompurin’s boat is.
Keroppi will be looking at a boulder blocking an opening; talk to him to learn a little about what’s going on. After a quick conversation, My Melody will appear and ultimately tell you to explore the area. My Melody will mention following the dry riverbed, but for now, you just need to follow her and Keroppi slightly to the northwest.
The pair will stand at a cave opening that you can proceed into. This entrance is very close; you just need to continue heading north across the bridge. If you take a break and forget where to go, My Melody and Keroppi will still be standing nearby.
How To Find The Source Of Water
At this point, head into the cave. Inside, you will see the dry riverbed, as well as a wooden plank path. The route to the source of water is simple. From the first area, head directly to the top right corner and proceed through the exit. Once in the second area, head to the top right corner again.
Doing so will put you in a new area with an underwater lake. Head slightly south on the path and you will come across Chococat, who explains what he is doing.
The goal here is to break the boulder that is blocking the flow of water. After talking with My Melody and Keroppi, Chococat will give you the blueprints to make the pickaxe. From here, you’ll need to leave and make this tool.
How To Make The Pickaxe
To make the pickaxe, head back to a Crafting Station. Here, you’ll need to use ten Woodblocks and three Ingots to craft it. Once crafted, you’ll need to make the trek back to Chococat, My Melody, and Keroppi.
The trio will still be waiting at that third cavern, so just head to the closest fast-travel mailbox and follow the cavern path once more.
How To Break Boulders And Get Water Flowing Again
To break the pickaxe, you just need to approach it. When doing so, your interaction button will turn into the pickaxe. Tap on this several times until the boulder breaks. This is how you’ll break every boulder in the game; you won’t need to actually equip it.
At this point, your goal is to break all boulders that block the path for the water. In total, there are four boulders that you’ll need to break. To get them all, follow the dry riverbed and break any boulder that blocks an entrance.
If you get turned about while doing this, don’t worry! The quest marker will go towards the direction of any unbroken boulders. After you break the boulders, you’ll be directed to speak with everyone back outside the cavern right near Pompompurin’s boat.
How To Complete Revive The Oasis
While talking with Keroppi, Kiki and Lala will make an appearance. They’ll thank you for reviving the Oasis, and give you a star fragment as a reward. For now though, these two characters are still locked.
Once done with the quest, the Dessert Boat will permanently be attached to the new dock. Rather than jumping down into the dry lake, you can simply fast-travel to the Oasis and then quickly walk over.
Revive the Oasis is required to complete a lot of other quests in the game. Be sure to look at your quest log; some quests may no longer be grayed out. Overall, this is an important quest to complete, especially if you want to get your hands on the pickaxe.
