Fortnite OG XP is a great bonus for those who want a bit more variety than the standard game. Getting XP in this last month of the season is always a bit tricky. It can feel like the quests have dried up, and doing deathruns constantly just doesn’t seem as fun as getting in Battle Royale. With Reload and OG now available too, players have had more options. However, Fortnite OG XP for playtime has been massively nerfed this week.
According to dataminers, Fortnite OG XP for playtime has been nerfed down to the single digits. Meaning you won’t be getting much XP at all just for playing OG. There are still other actions in the game which can provide you with that XP boost, like playing as normal or doing Fortnite Weekly Quests. However, the amount of XP you’ll be receiving in all has taken a big hit. And it’s come right when players are likely looking to maximize the XP they get.

Fortnite OG XP Playtime Gets Nerfed
Recently, the amount of XP you get for playtime in the Fortnite OG mode has been massively nerfed. If you were planning on grinding the new OG Season 2 to get to the end of the main Fortnite Battle Pass, this might cause a problem. You’ll still get decent XP for winning, getting kills, and similar events. However, with overall XP reduced so much it’s going to be a bit less than you’ll find elsewhere in Fortnite.
The good news is that this does appear to be a bug and not a feature. It’s been nerfed so hard that it seems very unlikely it was on purpose. This probably means we’ll see it fixed pretty soon! Although, if you’re still waiting to get through another 100 levels of bonus rewards, the clock is now against you.
Players only have a week or so to get to the end of the Battle Pass before the Fortnite season ends. It’s always tricky to make sure it’s finished off. In these weeks, it’s best to burn through any remaining quests. The best Fortnite XP maps are helpful for getting things finished up too. Although, that’s only good until you hit your Creative mode XP gap for the day.
