Fate/strange Fake is the latest anime installment in the Fate franchise – and fans are waiting for the next episode to finally come out.
Strange Fake is a spin-off series perfect for newcomers, as it works as some sort of “what if” story in the Fate/stay night timeline. Actually, it started as an April Fool’s joke, originally titled Fate/states night, but it could become one of the best series of the franchise, and the director is working hard on it.

What You Should Watch Before Fate/strange Fake Comes Back
These two Fate series are a great way to pass the time until an official release date drops for the first season of Fate/strange Fake.
While fans are still waiting for news about a proper schedule, a new visual was recently unveiled. It features Caster and Orlando Reeve – check it out:
Where to Watch Fate/strange Fake
So far, only a prologue movie, Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn and Fake/strange Fake Episode 1 (“The Heroid Spirit Incident”) have been released. They are both available exclusively on Crunchyroll – the company actually released the episode for a limited time before it aired on Japanese TV on December 31.
When Are New Episodes Coming Out?
When the first episode was confirmed to air on New Year’s Eve, many were expecting the series would start running regularly in January 2025, or that, at least, a release window would be released following the broadcast.
Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. While the series is set to air in 2025 (or, at least, Episode 2 is set to air in 2025), there are no further details, and a proper release date remains to be announced. It’s likely the series will start with Episode 1 when it returns, and not with the upcoming Episode 2.
Both the prologue movie and Episode 1 are available on Crunchyroll with an English dub (and, of course, with original Japanese audio and subs).
