To celebrate the 20th-anniversary of the popular franchise, Like a Dragon fans are being asked to choose which pieces of unique merchandise they’d like to see brought to life from a pool of 100 strange ideas. Like a Dragon, formerly known as Yakuza in the West, continues to be a fan-favorite series, transporting players into the Japanese criminal underworld while also including some notably wacky side stories to boot.
Kicking off with the 2005 PlayStation 2 title Yakuza, the Like a Dragon series now spans nine mainline titles and a dozen spin-off games, along with several re-releases and compilations. Each entry boasts a fresh story and, on occasion, a whole new cast, though many Yakuza traditions remain apparent throughout the series, including the inclusion of Kamurocho’s Millennium Tower and an absolute deluge of addictive minigames. The action-adventure beat’em up RPG series is still going strong in 2025, and to celebrate two decades of crime drama gameplay, the developers are asking fans to share what’s on their wishlists.

However, the website also features some more off-the-wall ideas, including a pair of Great Fortune Gold Undies from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, a tambourine for use at karaoke, prison uniform pajamas, and a giant pylon, known by many to be a running gag since the early days of the franchise. Fans can vote twice a day until the survey concludes on March 21.
