Summary

  • 2025 brings new seasons of popular streaming shows, including Wednesday season 2 on Netflix.
  • The second season will delve into the mystery of Wednesday’s stalker, possibly involving the cult Morning Song.
  • Bianca Barclay’s complex past and potential involvement with the cult suggest a deeper exploration in the upcoming season.

2025 will bring new seasons of several big streaming shows, including Netflix‘s Wednesday season 2. When fans last saw Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), she was sitting in the back of a car on her way home from creepy and atmospheric Nevermore Academy. She also had one big question on her mind: who is stalking her? There’s no doubt that the second season will put the puzzle pieces of this mystery together, but there will be some twists before that big reveal comes.

Since Wednesday season 2 will explore the mystery of Wednesday’s stalker, it seems only natural that the new episodes will also feature the people in Wednesday’s life in more detail. Everyone will be a suspect as she attempts to figure out what’s happening. Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) is one of the most gripping characters in the first season as Bianca’s family started a cult and an app called Morning Song. Could this cult be featured in Wednesday season 2?

Tyler Galpin is returning to Wednesday season 2, and I wonder what role he’s going to play in the next part of Wednesday Addams’s dark storyline.

Could Wednesday Season 2 Focus On The Cult Morning Song?

Although the cult Morning Song isn’t a huge part of Wednesday season 1, it does get mentioned a few times. Bianca Barclay’s stepfather Gideon started the cult and Bianca’s mother Gabrielle (Gracy Goldman) plays a big role in it. Bianca is at Nevermore because she quit the cult and decided to attend the boarding school instead. Bianca isn’t a fan of it, which suggests that the cult has dark and sinister intentions.

Nevermore Academy looks darker than ever in Wednesday season 2 and exploring the cult Morning Song would be one way to add more horror elements. There could be some flashbacks of the beginning of the cult and how Bianca first got involved. While this would be entertaining, this background also feels important.

It’s also possible that one of the cult members is stalking Wednesday or Bianca is helping them. It would be interesting if Wednesday knew her stalker, and this would create even more conflict between these two compelling characters. While Bianca left the cult, she could have secretly joined again so she could spy on Wednesday. Maybe she made a deal with her stepfather and mother and is getting something out of it. Or maybe Bianca’s family convinced her that they were not as evil as she thought.

It seems strange to mention Morning Song in Wednesday season 1 without a plan to dive more deeply into it. While Tyler Galpin/The Hyde (Hunter Doohan) is back, there must be another villain who is hiding, and it could be a cult member. Even if it isn’t Bianca, maybe another Nevermore student is a secret member of Morning Song and has been waiting to enact a plan against Wednesday.

What Did Joy Sunday Say About Bianca’s Role In Wednesday Season 2?

Wednesday Bianca and Gabrielle

Since Bianca Barclay has a complex past, she doesn’t trust people easily, and more of her past should be explained in Wednesday season 2. There is plenty of room for Nevermore traditions to be featured along with at least a brief mention of the cult Morning Song. It will be interesting to see how Bianca’s character evolves.

In an interview with W Magazine, Joy Sunday talked about her character’s place in Wednesday season 2 and said she hoped that the new episodes would explore the things that Wednesday and Bianca have in common. Sunday said:

“She’s found other people like herself, and she’s also been able to get herself in a position of power where people don’t question her and question what she’s doing, which allows her to lead this double life. It’ll be a relief for her to be able to share that part of herself. I personally have fun butting heads with Wednesday, and I’d really love to continue that tug of war while also both going forward with the knowledge that they’re more alike than different.”
